...and a Happy New Year! :)

Dear readers, How are you? Hope you all had a very nice and warm Christmas with your family and/or close friends! :) And today, just a short article! Can't believe another year has passed by...! Merry Christmas! :)

Dear readers, First, How are you? Hope that in this great and festive period you are all OK! Sorry, it might be cliché (or not) but I really love christmas!!! Just to be with my family, just to see the christmas tree, just to be more relaxed, just to enjoy evey precious moment, just to open the presents, and everything that goes with the christmas spirit, make me smile and forget everything else. Is it the same for you? I hope so! :) Anyway, just a short article (I don't know if I'll have time before tomorrow) to whish you all a Merry Christmas! Hope you'll have a jolly good time, wherever you are! :) And of course, I was going to annoy you with another subject in relation with books (and characters that I either want to punch in the face (ouh là!^^) or secouer comme des prunes (lol figure of speech^^) I perfectly know that the author does it in purpose but sometimes, I don't know...still want to do it!^^ but I think I'll keep it for later. And also that today, in France, we tend to translate (mostly) everything and sometimes it's not the same (well that's completly normal) but it's different...not good...it's just horrible (even if some progress have been made) but still, I really prefer to hear the music of the language! :) So, now I'll let you to last christmas shopping, last present to wrapped up or any last minute preparation you have to do, unless you have everything under control! lol ;) And once again have Merry Christmas! Christmas holiday, here I come!

Dear readers, How are you? Hope you're all OK. I've finally done everything I had to do and feel quite free, as if a weight has been lifted. And I can't wait to go back home for the christmas holidays, I really need to recharge the batteries and ressource myself, this past few weeks (especially the past week) have been quite intense, before starting a new semester and plunging myself again in the Brontë's world (yeah!) or discovering new authors, and writing others stories (yeah again!), continuing my dissertation (stessful but I quite like the subject I've chosen, so it's OK), or thinking about what I'd like to do next year...which still stresses me....but let's put away for a while, shall we? (smile) not that it won't make me stop thinking about it, on the contrary. Nonetheless, for now I'd like to think about christmas and all its magic. being with your family, friends, in a nutshell, with the one you love. Seeing the lights on the christmas tree, Opening the present, eating (too much) festive food...lauging, enjoying every single moment of it :) being in front of the fire, reading a good book, with a warm cup of tea...hum...nothing better I'd say! :) On that note, I wish you all happy holiday and hope you all have a wonderful time with your family and friends! :) see you soon for another article! :) take care, xxx

In need of Christmas magic

Dear readers, Hope you're Ok or at least once again better than me lately...my mood swings a lot, one minute, I'm fine, the other well I'm not...I don't know whether it's the stress of the exam or essay I've to do (should be fine, just me sttessing as usual, once it has passed, I'll happy to have finished it and see all the work I've done)...or maybe the fact that in a few month, I'll have finish uni...which still terrifies me...thinking about it, I still want to push the subject away and just enjoy the few months to come...but I can't...I also have to think about what I'd like to do next as scary as it is for me...I try not to panic and tell myself it's quite normal but I can't help it, I worry..maybe the combination of the stress and the constant thinking (future, and others things) worries me...can't say I like it (smile discreet) I guess everything is part of life. And really looking foward to the christmas holidays to recharge the batteries and try not to apprehend too much the next semester...hoping everything will be fine. Fortuneately,Jane Austen is never too far away ( can't help it) and of course a warm cup of tea!as much as seeing many romantics comedy again and again such as When Harry met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle or You've got mail...still the best! :) or seeing a few 'old'black and white movies or in color, making me think that at the time at least they made movies for the pleasure of it, of seeing the actors or actresses having fun and enjoying themselves...as sometimes (not that the movies today aren't good, they still are I reassure you right away...I still take pleasure by seeing them as many times I can, don't worry) it's more the aspects of money that worries me sometimes, as it happens that a movie can only be made to make more money and the quality of it can be put in the background...but let's hope we'll have many great movies to come :) Er...I know it doesn't really add up with what I started to say but my mind has wondered off (smile), at least it has take my mind off things for a moment...:) just a thought! anyway, thank you again for being here as usual and sorry to bother you with all that, just help to write it, to put words on your feelings :) see you soon for another article, take care! xxx :) p.s= sorry in advance for any mistakes or mispelling!

Dear readers, First and as usual, how are you? And it's December already, everyone is starting to put the christmas tree and the decorations, looking foward to it already! :) And of course, a short article today-I'm a bit busy these days and a lot in my mind (sorry in advance if I make mistakes, mispell a word or simply forget one lol as it seems that I tend to do that a lot lately or in general^^hope you're still able to read me...:) Anyway, I was going to do a bookholic but as usual it takes times and for now I've to confess I'm sometimes a bit lazy...lol but also as you know I read quite a lot of books (which I love to do since I can read, I think, it has always been there for me, to feed my imagination and give me ideas for futures stories, to make laugh or cry, to make want to turn the next page or imagine how the character interact, lives their lives...when you see my room (rire) you'll probably think I'm crazy (rire) well, maybe not but I've quite a lot of books, especially since I've also started to read in English!!! hehhe :) so in the future I think I'll probably need a big (very big lol) library! :) I intend to, well I really hope so, because I can't live without books, I feel empty without them...I need to know that they're not too far away...don't really know why...just a feeling...:) On that note, I had planned to add a few things but I realized that I've already talked about it several times I think in previous articles. So, maybe no need to repeat myself and annoy you in the same tme (smile) :) it wou:d have been in relation to the fact that sometimes I can't stand;well I know the author does it on purpose or it's just what the character(s) has (have) to go through I suppose before realizing what is the right choice...it's sometimes a bit annoying and/or frustating...but hey...everyone is different. And everyone react differently after all, as long as they do the right choice, fine by me...:) just a bit frustrating (if I haven't said it already lol) :) you sometimes want to 'punch' him/her or simply 'kick' his/her ass (sorry if I'm rude^^) To conclude, good luck for everything (exams or essays or simply work), take care and see you soon for another article! :) xxxx

November : Very windy with a chance of flying! :)

Dear readers, Hope you're Ok by this very windy(I can hear it blowing against my window), rainy and fresh november weather, which give envy to stay in bed with a cup of tea and a good book! :) I won't be too long, just a short article as it has been some time, not that I feel oblige to write (rire) in the contrary, it's always nice to share with you something such as movies I've seen or book I've recently read (I might do another bookholic soon, we'll see, as I begin to be busy) or just tell you how I feel or share my concerns or something that makes me laugh or smile...:) I hope you are enjoying it as much as I do...as sometimes I wonder how long I'm going to continue writing this blog...don't worry...just something that crosses my mind sometimes...I'll tell you when if one day I decide to stop but for now...it will keep running as usual...even if I don't write very often...:) Anyway, today, something that has been running in my mind...hum...maybe that has been in my mind lately would be better...no? lol bref, let's come to our sheep! :) (hum, an expression that seems to come back regularly!) euh...where was I? Ah, yes...I've been reading books (well, you know that already...lol^^) especially some that takes place in the 19th century, very witty and fun to read. You can see how they lived, how the society worked, what the 'rules' were, what the expections were...etc...it's fun in a way, and once more, they may have a easy life in the sense where they didn't have to rush as much as we do today, and maybe they didn't have all the pressure (or maybe the duke, earl and vicount had)they had a simplier life in sense...but let me tell you...I'm really glad to live in our society, in our world...we may have or course the global warming, economic crisis and everything...but I like it anyway, women can be more independent, we have at least more equality (not yet that but it's a start) between men and women..., women can work and do whatever they like, we can vote, we have train, plane, boat, bus and cars, we can travel either alone or with our family or close friends, even faster than before, we have electricity, tv, cinemas, computers, moblie phone, emails...many things to resume that enable us to have better condition of life, medecine has really improved and we can in general live longer! :) also, women are for once not considerate 'spinster' at the age of 24 or 25 (it makes me laugh, sorry but we are not that old whether we are in our twenties or thirties)!!! no need of a chaperone and so much of propriety or etiquette (that's drive me crazy lol)(well, maybe we need that a little^^) but in the end we have more freedom and no need to feel oblige to marry, we have our say!! women , and of course men or children, are more protected and have more rights! Moreover, women can study as well as men! :) I perfecty understand and respect their traditions, everyone century brings something different, every one has it own culture, and that's nice :) but I really glad to live in the 21st century! Well, I think that all for today...I just wanted to share that with you and of course you're entitled to have your own opinion on the sujbect! :) see you later for another article and looking foward to christmas already (smile) :) take care, xxxx

Thoughts-2

Dear readers, How are you today? :) At least I hope you're better than me these days, as my mood loves (rire) to play russian mountains...and the weather doesn't help much! My head is also full of thoughts going around...my nights aren't good...either my brain is very active and I can turn and turn until I finally fell asleep (brain will always be a mystery to me, you want to sleep but you can't because you think too much), or either I woke-up early...and I'm of course tired! Urgent...lol! I need a break...I need to recharge the batteries before exams, essays before Christmas and my dissertation (I enjoy doing it) to regurlarly do...I don't mind that...I got used to it, it just the stress and the worries that goes around around these periods...we all experience that...but can't help it! And morever, I realise that it's my last year at uni...it weird...I mean I'm aware of that, I know that...and a part of me, likes it as no more stress or deadline about essays or exams to do, it's another beginning, a new adventure...but another part of me is...well....terrified! What's waiting for me is scaring me! I can't help it! I feel like a fish lost in a big ocean! Or looking at a big mountain...and when my family or close friends ask me (as they of course want to know, which is normal, I don't mind) well, I still panic!!!It might be easy for some (when i see them, it seems so), but it's not for me... Not good, isn't it? I don't know, it's not the end of the world, and everyone goes its own pace after all, takes its time, but sometimes I feel lost and don't how people would react if I tell them 'oh, by the way...I'm terrified! I don't know what to do after uni'. Stupid, isn't it? Growing-up is nice and at least we can more things, more free to be independant...and everything...but to be truthful...all the responsabilities that goes with it, scares me...I'm trying not to but once again I can't help it, I just do! Maybe once I've figure it out...I'll be more relax but in waiting...not easy! I'm a bit shy and not going easily towards people...and most of the job today are a lot in relation with customers...it's not my forte...as I'm more a 'secret person', by that I mean..., I prefer to be behind the scene....if you see what I mean? Maybe also why I communicate more by writing (sometimes it's easier for me)... :) maybe it gets better when you get older...I don't know..everyone is different...:) anyway,thanks for listening to me as always and let's see where it goes...:)will let you know along, see you soon for another article, take care, xxx

Bookholic-Part 6

Dear readers, Hope you're all Ok, once again! :) It seems that I enjoy sharing articles with you theses days^^, enjoy lol, I'm kidding, it's always a pleasure! Just that in the weeks to come, I'll probably be busy between exams, essays and my dissertation to do, and won't have too much times to write but don't worry, I won't forget you! :) So, in waiting, I was thinking of doing a short bookholic again (like that I won't have too many books to share with you, not that I don't like it! Just that if I let too much times in between, well, it takes more times and/or I won't do a bookholic for some times! Anyway, just a few books I've recently read and wanted to share with you again! :) It's not a secret by now, you must have guess lol , I love books! Kindle or I-Pad can be useful as you don't have to take your books anymore. And it save some space, but let me tell you, there is nothing better than to turn the page of a book, to see the words floating before your eyes, to be able to make some notes or hilight something important, to take the book in your hands, feel it or smell it...I just love the feeling and that won't replace the fact that I love having a library around, where you puts all your favorite books and can't stop looking at them or re-read them a millions times, so much that the cover is a bit used by now but you don't care because it's proof that the book in questions has really lived...the feeling can't be replaced by the Kindle or I-pad or any different new device that will appear...I don't know what's for you but paper version of a book can't really be replaced! I know we live in the 21st century and everything is evolving...nevertheless I really hope books won't disapear too fast...after all if books have survived so many centuries...why can't it survive despite that? Maybe the book market can have both, don't you think? :) I really hope so! :) can't imagine a world without books!!! :) Sorry in advance, I've still some trouble to hiligth the title of the books I'm going to share with you...I also have some problems to put some pictures or put somes sentences en Italique...grr...(I'm not a specialist in computer^^) despite the fact that I could do it before...don't know what happened...anyway, will try to see that soon but for now, I've to get used to it...:) So...let's begin...shall we? :) the first book is "Who needs Mr Darcy?" -I'm aware I've mentionned in the previous bookholic but I've just wanted to give my opinion, will be quick-promise!^^ So, as you must already know, this time the author has chosen to follow the adventure of the silliest and stubborn young girl of England: Miss Lydia Bennett! It goes after her marriage with the infamous Wickham! Here, he's dead in the battlefield (but that doesn't seem to be the real reason) and she's widowed. but never fear, Lydia has a plan! She's still want to marry the richest man she can find!^^ She still doesn't have learn her lesson apparently! And you still want to 'knock out' with her fried pan^^and pray that her senses come back!Notheless, she's still determined! A fun book and the spirit of the Lydia's characters is loyally kept by Jean Burnett (the author). Though, I still prefer Elizabeth or Jane! (smile). But it's a good book! and you're quite surprise by Lydia's choice of man, in the end-the one she has fallen in love with...though maybe not...I'll let you guess why! :) The second book and third book are the books written by the same author- Sarah Morgan- simple love stories, nice and funny and you're sure tO have (rire) your happy ending! :) It's untitled: 'Once Upon a Christmas'- it follows two heroines- the first one Bryony is doctor and has a lovely little girl. It's christmas soon and her only wish this year is to have a dad! How can she make it happened in time? A lovely story, once again! :) Meanwhile, the second heroine, Helen, Bryony's best friends, has recently been through a bad break-up (her fiancé pratically left her at the altar! Not nice!!!) and doesn't look for love. But never fear...she finds love again, just like her best friends! Lovely story as well! :) The other book is: "Summer Kisses", Fiona's summer is simple and really wants to follow her one and only rule: NOT TO KISS Connor McNeil!(He may be gorgeous but she's the only hasn't snogged at school! Jenna's summer is also to find reasons not to fall in love with Dr Ryan McKinley. She has been divorced for a year, she has daughter to care for and he might break her heart...well, the reasons she has listed above are hard to flllow...:) a nice story to read! :) Another book: " The Vintage Teacup Club"!!! nice title isn't it? that and the lovely cover attracted my attention as well as the story! Vanessa Greene (it's her first book!) transports us in a lovely and touching story between three friends who meet while they're scouting in a antique fair and all falls in love with a vintage tea set! :) That's how their friendship began! Jenny can't wait to marry Dan after years of being together, they're finally ready to tie the knot-but suddenly after years of not hearing from her, Jenny hears from the woman that can risk her happiness... While, "Maggie has finally put her broken heart behind her and has a new florishing business and her own career- until she has to confront her own past" And "Alison seems to have it all, she has married her childhood sweetheart and has two lovely teenage daugthers. But as tensions mount, she is pushed to her breaking point" Don't worry, every heroine has her happy ending! A really good book, was happy to discover it! Can't wait for the next one! :) A nice friendship story ad well, making you realize that close friends can't be replaced! :) It's precious! :) The following book (I'm going to be quick for the last few books, I'm beginning to be hungry lol^^) is: "P.s= I'm Pregnant" by Heidi Rice. Two friends. If her landlady cat's hadn't been missing and if she hadn't gone in search of the cat, Daisy Dean wouldn't have been caught by her new neighbor Connor Brody in his garden, sneaking around at night in her underwear...But even if he isn't pleased with the intrusion, Connor has a business deal which is about to fall through just because the wife of a US investor fancies him...^^he invites her to follow him for 2 weeks in NYC...what can happened? A nice story! :) Meanwhile, as Daisy's friends, Juno has heard enough of Connor's brother and famous hollywood actor Mac Brody, who has also a shocking reputation. And when he turns up unexpectedly at a wedding, Juno's plan not to fall for him are put in danger...as she finds herself suddenly in front of every newspaper! and of course the only place to hide for a while is Mac's house in LA! :) Let you guess whar follows! A nice story as well! :) To finish this new bookholic (sorry again in advance if there is some words mispelled or missing or any other mistakes made, as I bet most articles are probably full^^ I normally try to re-read myself but somestimes it's hard and I can forget...so hope it's still readable...^^:), I've re-read "Thanks for the memories" by Cecelia Ahern (who you must know by now; and an author I quite love, she's always surprising you, transporting in worlds you can't imagine existed! You never know what to expect and it's quite good! :) Joyce Conway receives a blood transfusion while at hospital as she had sadly lost her baby :( and suddenly strange things are happening...she has knowledge of things she couldn't possibly imagine she had, speak fluently language she didn't know she could speak and dreams of a litte blond girl she has never dreamed of before...so what's happening and why has she all this memories? Around the same time, Justin Hitchcock has donated his blood...! :) I'll let you imagine and guess what's the connection! A really good story! If you like this author: you'll also like: 'if you could see me now', 'the time of my life (published last year), and the most recent one (that I've not read yet but has just come out: "One hundred names", can't wait to read it! Will tell you that in the next bookholic, I hope! And books where stories takes place in the 19th century with duke, earl and vicount..fun and easy to read! Here is a few title: " One dance with a duke", "Twice tempted by a rogue", " Three nights with a scoundrel" - a trilogy by Tessa Dare. Also, " Seducing the Heiress", "Never trust a rogue" and "Scandal of the year" (that i'm reading at the moment); another fun trilogy by Olivia Drake. Also, just to this time, really close this article before I faint from hungriness (lol), the last J.K Rowling (as must have heard) has come out.."the casual vacancy" following the events in small town, where everyone knows everyone- after Barry Fairbrother has suddenly passed aaway- we follow the reactions of the people who were friends with him and the one who didn't like him...I've begun to read it but to be truthful with you, it's a little hard and I'm taking my time to read it-reading other books in between; I know it's different from the Harry Potter and it's normal...but I'm sometimes a bit stuck, I hope to find the time to finish it...we'll see, keep you posted! :) let's see where it goes! and one last thoughts...what's the bid deal with the last book frenzie around the erotic fiction which has recently came out and everybody seems to talk about (even a movie might be made...) called Fifty shades of Grey (and two others books as part of a trilogy)? I don't really understand it...as I've noticed that similar books, just like this one have suddenly come out of nowhere surfing under the same wave...weird! :) lol critics seems to be also divided (as usual) between the fans and the others who doesn't like it...saying it's not really good nd it's not well-written...can't tell you much, as I don't think I'll read them, I'm not tempted at the moment...I was just curious about the big buzz it has created, and wanted to share it with you! :) So, this time I think I'm really going or else I'm really going to faint! ^^ lol I'm quite hungry as I must have told you many times by now...(sorry for the mistakes due to the fact that I'm having hard time to concentrate^^) :) Anyway, have a lovely week-end and see you soon for another article! take care, xxxx :) P.s= stupid question^^: can someone, tell me (if you know of course) what breeches are? can't seem to find a good translation. :) xxx

Mansfield Park by Jane Austen ( new review)

Dear readers, As usual, hope you're all OK! :) Just a quick article today, I won't be too long! Lately, I re-read an article that I've written a little more than a year ago now. And I was quite suprised by the book's review that I made at the time. Not that it's not good, just that I should have re-read it before publishing it! It's not really good and there is something missing. Maybe when I written it, I didn't take enough time to do it but I'd like to do so now, as I've had more time (sorry for the repetition^^) to make a new one, hopefully a slightly better one. I hope it won't annoy you, I know I must have talked about Jane Austen a bit more than usual but in this third year of uni, I've to do a dissertation and the subject that I've choosen is of course about her!(love it) I quite like her-wait scratch that (lol)- I love Jane Austen, she is one my favorite author! :) can't get enough of her and the great book she has written! :) Anyway, I wanted to do a better review and it gave me another excuse (not that I need one lol) to write about her again! :) So, this article is new and improved version of Mansfield Park! :) We all know the story: 'Fanny Price is the daughter of a marine and his wife who married for love from a better background, she is adopted by Sir Thomas Bertram, a landowner, who married Mrs Price's more fortunate sister. Among Sir Thomas's children at Mansfield Park, the quiet and sickly Fanny grows close to Edmund, the younger son, but Edmund is attracted to the vivacious and worldly Mary Crawford. On various occasions, including an attempt to put a play in Sir Thomas's house during his absence in the West Indies, Mary Crawford and her brother Henry reveal themselves as bad influences: Henry, for example, is flirting with Maria Bertram, who is engaged to another man. After Maria marries, Henry proposes to Fanny; to the atonishment of both Sir Thomas and Edmund, she rejects him. She is proved right to do so when Henry later runs off(Men, je vous jure!^^) with Maria. Both Edmund and Sir Thomas realise the superior moral vision of the long-neglected Fanny, and Edmund, now a vicar, marries her.' (Source: "Jane Austen, by Robert P. Irvine, Routledge, 2005). I liked the story but to be truthful with you, you still can't believe Fanny marries Edmund. Not that I disagree (Jane Austen had her own vision when she wrote it, I respect it). Indeed, we can say that Henry Crawford is not a good man after everything he did (I agree that Fanny was right to reject him in the first place), he is not better than his sister. But if your read the book entirely, you can deduce, that in the end, he quite cares for Fanny, despite his many mistakes (I don't excuse him^^, just explaining). It's not a secret, Fanny has always had her eyes and heart set on Edmund, who only realise it, quite close to the end of the story, in the last few chapters. It's not gradually, it's seems really sudden! It can perfectly happen, I'm not saying that. Just the way, it does happen. As if one day, Edmund wakes-up and realises Fanny loves him. The story is still nice and it's still pleasure to read it. However, it's quite different than the other book she has written. It's a bit more serious, I'd say. It's what I felt while reading it and still feel today but you're of course free to think otherwise! :) I may prefer to have seen Fanny finally agreeing to marry Henry Crawford if he had proposed again(even though he's not really nice at first and would been quite hesitant as well) than Edmund but...hey...:) every one has his or her own vision! And it may doesn't help, that a few years back (2 years or so), I saw an HORRIBLE version of Mansfield Park! The book is very much better :) All of Jane Austen's book are really great, maybe this one, is just slightly different than the other, that's all! Chawton & Jane Austen

Dear readers, Hope you’re all OK and that everything is going well for you! As you might as well guess (see title), last Thursday, with my university, we all went (for me, it was the second time), to Chawton! I couldn’t stop smiling, despite the pouring rain but then again, it wouldn’t Great Britain without rain (rire)! :) And anyway, I think it add something to scenery (even though the sun would have been welcome!:) So, let’s come back to our sheep! Last time, I went there was two years ago and it hasn’t changed much! :) Still the same lovely village lost in the Hampshire, not too far from Winchester and also from my university. It was around the time where I had to choose which university I’d choose. And I took the opportunity to visit with a dear friend (whom I miss very much and thought about her, when I was there!) to visit Jane Austen’s house, where she has lived, just before going back to Winchester, to be near her doctor, as she was ill. I must have mentioned in a previous article (I think) but it was a long time ago…anyway, you might find it hidden (lol) in the archives somewhere!:) It’s a lovely house and you can easily imagine one my favorite author walking around the house or the garden, reading a book, entertaining guests or simply working on her fabulous novels!:) If one day you’ve the chance, don’t hesitate one second to go there, it is a lovely place to visit and maybe stop by the Cassandra’s tea room! (I haven’t had the chance yet but its sounds lovely nonetheless!) So, this time, we had the chance to visit the Chawton House Library! What’s it? Well, this lovely place (further down the road from Jane’s Austen’s house), which has opened in 2003 (nearly ten years ago now!) is the ‘home of Early English Women’s writing’ as they call it! Just a bit of history before giving you my impressions: ‘Amongst the many owners to have made their mark is Jane Austen’s brother, Edward, who became the heir of the childless Knight family relations and inherited the estate in 1809. He settled his mother and sisters, Jane and Cassandra, in a cottage in the village (now Jane Austen’s museum) where Jane began the most prolific period of her writing career. The estate remained owned by the Knight family until the 1990’s when it was acquired on long lease by the newly-formed registered charity, Chawton House Library. Lost in this lovely town, you feel at peace and happy to there at the same time as nearly two centuries ago, Jane Austen and probably many others, have walked the same ground as we did!:) All around is the lovely british countryside, you could even see some sheeps and horses, in the field, next to the House Library, and of course with the rain, the estate was even more charming , as you could see the nature…how could I say it? (smile)…hum…hum…let’s say with the rain, the nature seemed quite awake and the colors were standing quite well, if you see what I mean? :)There are also some lovely cottages around! You can’t stop but falling in love with the place! It’s impossible not to! And now after this beautiful scenery, I’d like to talk to you about the inside of the House Library as charming as the outside! Full of history, you feel already at home! A lot of portraits (mostly women) or old maps, nice furniture (chairs, tables), alcoves around, a lot different doors and impressive stairs, lovely tapestries as well and a really lovely kitchen, kept as it was!  And the library, of course, where they keep the old books with much care (you can just look or if you need to consult them, you have to ask first!)In a word (or many), a fantastic place to visit or to work! You can stay many hours, wondering how people before us where living here, every day! :) So, to conclude, a place worth to visit! For the anecdote or just as simple information, it’s possible to hire the place for receptions or weddings! Not kidding! (Smile discreet), a good idea, don’t you think? ;) And to finish, a quotation from Jane Austen: 'When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not a excellent library’ Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen (1775-1817) I agree with her on that one(rire), I can’t imagine my future flat or home, without a lot of books either! :) Have a lovely Sunday and see you soon for another article! Bookholic-Part 5 (I think)

Dear readers, Hope you're alright since my last article. Anyway, as you can see and if you followed my previous articles, it has been a while since I've done a Bookholic. No reasons in particular but as you might already know it litteraly "eat" books (rire), plunging myself in a different world every time (I love it) and it also it takes time as I tried to diversify my readings...and putting all the books I've read take some times as well...:) But first things first, there is something I've noticed, well I know it's normal otherwise it wouldn't be funny and it is indeed done in purpose to get on your nerves! (I tell you when it's well written it works!) but sometimes it's frustrating me and I seriously want to "knock out' the characters or just telling him or her (mostly(it depends of the story) to get a grip and to stop moping around and asking herself or himself sometimes so many questions. What I mean but that, for example the heroine is already with someone when she supposely met the one she is supposed to be with. and more often, her present boyfriend can be lazy, spending most of his time in front the TV or not making some effort anymore- the heroine begins to ask herself question to whether or not she's sure of her feelings for him but she should as it had been quite a while that she's with him. she almost 'force'herself to be with him, trying to find excuses of some sort. Grr...Here, I already want to "punch" her in the face (lol) as she still stays with him (while she hesitate a lot as to what she's going to do next). And don't get me on 'it's complicated'things, it really get on my nerves!!! sorry I'm aware of the fact that I don't know much about relationships and it's not abnormal to ask ourselves some questions, or not wanting to hurt the other person in the relationship, I get that...it's just that sometimes it's just...you know....frustating and the dilemma goes on for a quite a while after that. Fortunately, (yeah!), most of the time, the heroine finally comes to her senses and chooses the right one, the one she wants to be with. Ouf! (rire) Another scenario, that I don't like much, sometimes the current boyfriend is not really nice and take advantage of her (what a pig) or sometimes thinks it's ok to cheat on her (when it's really really not!!!) either she knows and finally leaves him, finding another and nicer person to be with and get to her senses by not taking him back (ouf!) or she closes her eyes for most of the book, trying to win him back...er...isn't there a problem????? still want to "punch her' but mostly him (lol)who doesn't deserve her. Of course, it's not always the girl who is nice. It can be both ways...not all men are bad (fortunaletly for us^^) just some books I've recenty read. So, in this article I'm going to share with you a few of these books but not all of them, it would be too long...sorry...:) it seemns that I say 'sorry' a lot ahaha I must quite become British (lol I don't mind actually! :) anyway let's come back to our sheep! :) where was I? Books! In the Julia Quinn book series (an author that I quite like and often can't wait for the next book (well, it's like that for most of the author I appreciate as you know, mostly when you find an author you really like, you're quite impatient for the next book to come out!!! (rire) the second book of the Smythe-smith quartet! the first is 'Just like Heaven' following the adventure of Honoria Smythe-smith. this time in 'A Night like this' we follow the adventure of her brother Daniel Smyhe-smith. Also a nice book and of course can't wait for the next! Next book I've recently read: mostly books set in the Regency. Adventures of different ladies and (nice) rake with big heart in the end! (ouf^^) every character is different and has wits! A lot of fun and easy to read! :) Then, Sophie Page and her heroine Bella Greenwood who meets accidently the lovely and charmind Richard. He quickly sets off her feet. Only problem...he's a Prince! :)and of course as you can imagine alot of obtacles to pass through: Will Bella survive to the pressure? Will their couple survive to all this? Will they succeed to combine their two world together? I'll let you guess the rest of the story...I really enjoyed reading it! You can't stop wondering what's going to happen and the page turn themselves! :) Don't worry as most the love stories, it has a happy ending! :) Lucy Diamonds, after her delightful book 'the beach café, she comes back with 'a summer with my sister': the first is successful and works more hours than you can imagine, quite shallow (fortunately she changes), the second has a child and is divorced, leaving near her parents. when the first is forced to come back, after having been fired and lost her appartements, she reluctantly comes back to town where she has grew-up. At first sight, their relationship isn't great but the summer will bring them close and will make them realize that they have more in common than they thought. And also both of the sisters will find more than they bargain for: love! :) a lovely and touching story! :) You won't regret it! :) Also, many novels base on the most popular 'Pride and Prejudice', different version, as fun and fresh as the other. And Elisabeth and Darcy don't lost their sparkle! :) you can find 'Mr Darcy goes overboard' by Belinda Roberts; as well, The Trial of the honorable F. Darcy ( quite nice, though a bit different), In her trilogy of Mr. Darcy, Victoria Connely finishes it with 'Mr Darcy Forever' a nice book as well! :), 'Love, lies and Lizzie' by Rose Rushton who also takes a plume to write about the adventure of Darcy and Elisabeth! :) and 'The Man who loved Pride and Prejudice' by Abigail Reynolds (who also apparently has written many version of their adventures, asking us the question 'what if...') this time Darcy is represented by Calder Westing III and is the son of the Senator, while Elisabeth is represented by Cassie Boulton, a marine biologist. Quite nice too! (maybe a bit long but in the end you're having a good time. Some character don't appaear but that doesn't change much! :) As well, Juliet Archer has taken the project of revisiting until now: 'the importance of being Emma' and 'Persuade me', both nice books and you're still having a good time! :) After her delighful and imprevisible,'Something from Tiffany's'(that I also recommend by the way lol) she comes back with a great book as well: 'The charm bracelet'. Holly , young and single mother, works in a vintage shop and loves the clothes stories that goes with them. they also receive donation or give unwanted clothes to the church. One day, she discovers a charm bracelet in a pocket jacket...having one herself, she instantly set her heart of looking for the owner of the bracelet with the help of the charm as each of them, represent a clue of how ot find the owner! :) here she goes on her journey and will also find more...a lovely book and you of course can't stop reading it! even when you've finished it, you want to know more...!! in the thriller category, I from time to time, like to read the adventure of the famous Jack Reacher, ex-military who has one particularity: he has no house, no cars, doesn't pay taxes, has no driving licence, stays in cheap motel, goes from town to town with only some dollars in his pocket, a toothbrush and his clothes! he doesn't especially want to be find. He's alone and doesn't have any family anymore; And sometimes he happens to help people in need or beig accused of something he didn't do or just want justice, depends of where he goes. He lives day by day, always living in the present. You can't get enough of this big guy (with inside a big heart) who doesn't ask for much really! :) his adventure are written by Lee Child. Also, a movie of one of his numerous adventure 'one shot' have been brought to life on the screen and sorry but why? of why? have they chosen him...? for your information Tom Cruise has taken the his role...grrr...(sorry for him- I don't hate him in general)- he's just not as tall as Jack Reacher is supposed to be!! not really realistic but hey...what can we do? lol let's hope it will fine...I read the book before so we'll see (finger-crossed (rire) !:) David Baddalcci, after the adventure of the secret service agent Sean King and Michelle Maxelle (can't for the next book, if there is one!)-which I recently learned will be soon adapted as a Tv show...can't wait to see what's it going to be...will let your know...:) - anyway, this time we're introduced to John Puller ( a bit like Reacher really, but just for some aspects...as they're both (or have been) in the military and quite tall. They have also mostly the same training (but just for a few things as otherwise their background is quite different)- in a town of Virginia, a important military man and his family are brutally murdered and John Puller is called to investigate and meets Samantha Cole, the officer working on the case as well. Soon, we realize that's not what it seems as other people are murdered...a thrilling novel where you still don't know what's going to happen, even the why and the who are responsible surprises you...the end (without telling you too much) surprises you! And to comes back to the romance part and finish this Bookholic: I've also read 'love in on the air' by jane moore which refers to the beginning of this article. Here, we meet Cam who is in relationship since 6 years with Dean and lately let's say- he prefers to stay quitely at home watching Tv and football, seeing his friends from time to time, neglecting Cam who is starting to wonder why she with him as she realizes she's bored and her feelings for him aren't quite the same... As she goes on holiday with her 2 best friends, she mets briefly but isn't totally indifferent the lovely and single dad Tom. Once her holiday is over, she decided to comes back to...Dean (arrrrrggghhh^^). Until one day, not long after she has returned, the radio pass on a message from Tom telling where he has met her and her name. he also wants to know if something would be possible for them...and her current boyfriend is next ot her when the message is on the air... So the question for Cam Simpson is to know whether she still wants to settle for Dean (arrggggghhhh again) or if she would settle with someone (Tom) that might more what she's actually looking for...of course, her dilemma goes on during most of the book and cna't help but being frustating as you know her feelings for Dean have changed and that she clearly wants something else, and to be with Tom as some point. A good book and it still wouldn't be fun if Cam wouldn't struggle much with her feelings, it's quite normal. Although, if you are quite sure that your feelings for that person have changed and want something else, why bother? why wasting your time? better to be alone than with someone you don't love or isn't for you or any other reasons...anyway, every relationship is different from one another..it's just what I feel...:) I won't judge (or try not to...:) One last book (among many that I've just mentionned or didn't as if I'd, this article would be really long lol..if not already^^) it's called 'the good, the bad and the dumped' by Jenny Colgan (you can also read Meet me at the Cupcake café, a lovely book as well! :) here, the heroine is recently engaged to the lovely Matt. But a few days later, he changes his mind. our heroine then begins to wonder what went wrong and also goes to track down the relationships (3 in total) that have counted for her...as she seems to want to understand and to know herself better in the process...a nice story even if sometimes you don't know why she's doing all that but if it helps her...:) Well, actually not really the last book, there is just another one: 'A very accidental love story' by Claudia Carroll (an author I also like) here we follow the adventure of Eloise Elliott, a successful journalist for the Post in Dublin. As she is going on her 30th birthday, she realizes she's missing something and takes a decision. Go on 3 years later when she is now the mother of the lovely Lily! She juggles between her career and her new role...especially when Lily begins to question her: Who's her dad? Where is he? She wants to meet him! So, there she goes on her quest to find him but of course he must be perfect, seeing her daugther...? A lovely and lively story as usual! :) Have a good reading and hope to see you all soon for another article! In the meantime, enjoy reading as much as I do! At the moment and promise I'm stopping after that^^, I'm reading a book called 'Who needs Mr. Darcy?' following this time the adventure of the youngest and silliest Bennett's girls, who doesn't seem yet to have changed a bit (we'll see later^^) you might have guess by now, Lydia Wickham, born Bennett. Thoughts

Dear readers, Hope you're all OK...well, at least better than me...not that I'm depressed or anything. Just that lately, my mood has been playing russian mountain again...don't like it much but then who does really? I don't know why or if it's the weather or again because I miss my family or my friends or just because I may need to adjust myself to this new and last year at university and the fact that I've to think about what I'd like to do next year...which is stressful for me at least...I'm aware of the fact that one day or the other, we all have to find our own way in life such as find a job, becoming independant , but for me (as I think I previously talked about it in a article a few months back..., anyway, it's not as simple as it looks like. Indeed, you must have guesses by now, that all these things and becoming adult, having responabilities and everything (I know we all have to begin somewhere but...) although, just by trying or picturing what I could do, is really scaring me...I feel like a big fish in the ocean, completly lost...I'm not alone but sometimes...just a feeling...:) all those things seems quite big to me...maybe we all feel like, we all go through things like this...I don't know... Fortunately, I know I can count on my family or friends, and all the good books I read, the music I listen, lightening some candles, drinking many warm cup of tea (rire),watching funny movies or that some TV shows are going to be back soon to keep my mood up,to distract myself, which has lately been mostly more low than up...hopefully it's just a moment to pass...:) I really hope that... Anyway, let's not dwell on that, I hope to write a more chearful article soon! :) thank you again, for listening to me, I really appreciate and in way, writing helps me..! :) a bit like therapy, we could say, put the words on what you really feel can be helpful sometimes (at least it is for me!) :) Take care and see you soon I hope, xxxxx

Ces séries qui vous rendent accro!

Dear readers, Hope you're all OK! It seems that you're quite lucky (lol), inspiration has strike again! (rire) Anyway, I still don't know how they do it but they still do! These TV shows that keep you awake at night, that keep your imagination going all the time , wondering what's going to happen next! We're all waiting impatiently every year for new episodes and discover, (re)discover again our favourites! There is so many that I can't remember every one of them, but these american (mostly because they come from that country but there others of course!)know how to keep your attention alive with all their famous ingredients: suspense et retournement de situation, making the characters evolve, making romantic situation impossible (sense where you always want them to be together but they're often too stubborn at first!) or make you think that this person kill someone else when it's not him or her, but someone else did it or getting on your nerves when of course someone tries to getting away with it (or think he/she can)...anyway you see what I mean...it's always the same thing, you discover a TV show you like and you can't stop watching it! And you can't wait to see what's going to happen next! :) Take for example: Friends, How I met your Mother, Castle, Drop dead diva, Burn notice, Csi (et autre franchise si vous aimez but I've a slightly preference for CSI Las vegas), Ncis (or NCIS LA), Once upon a time, Grimm, Vampire Diaries, Bones, Royal Pains, Necessary Roughness, White Collar and many others...you can't get enough and sometimes even if it's not that great...they still found a way to make you watch it, to renew your interest, it's horrible! Anna Karenina- the movie adaptation (2012)

Hello again! Dear readers, hope you're still OK since my last posting. Good luck pour cette rentrée ou pour le retour au taf! :) Know it must be hard, I quite like holidays myself! :) (though we might get bored in the end lol) Anyway, yesterday,as you can see by the title, I went to see another adaptation (among many which have been made) of a book I read recently (see the july article if you miseed it): Anna Karenina! Eh oui, it finally came out (lol) and was quite surprised as we all know it's always hard to adapt a book at the cinema and there is always some passages cut or some details that we find ourselves important but that are unfortunately missing...(still the case here)but despite that I quite liked this new adaptation and we still found Tolstoï's spirit in it and Anna's courage to choose love over everything she has known. She doesn't care about what people think at the time. This new adaptation is also quite surprising as first, it's made as if it was a theatre play. The decor is always changing as if you were un spectateur watching the play going on directly on the stage! There is good actors (Jude Law, Keira Knightley, Kelly Mac Donald and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (saw in the Kick-Ass movie) and I like their exchange. You spend a good time and don't get bored too much (rire). You let yourself in the movie, picturing how these characters were living and what are the rules in the Russian society. When Anna's chooses Count Vronski over her husband (she has married young), she shocked a nation, she surprises everyone. She's in her own way right and we can understand why she chooses love over her husband (who only care about his reputation). Anna wants to be happy. However, despite that, she needs to be constantly reassured about her lover's love, always asking whether he still loves her and he still does. But she is regularly asking him and is jealous if he talks to a beautiful woman. In the end, Anna seems to think everyone is judging her (maybe some but she usually doesn't seem to care) and end up resenting everyone. She's unhappy and takes her life, jumping in front of a train. Irony or not, she's met Count Vronski in a train station at the beginning of the novel. I don't like this ending much (as I always like happy ending) but fortunately for some characters like Levine, he finally marries Kitty (to whom he has proposed already but she was first smitten by Count Vronski who himself has choosen Anna over her) and have a son together. Anna's daugther (she' had a daughter with Vronski) goes to live with Serge (Anna's first son) and her (ex)husband (though I don't recall they have ever divorced). So the end is not completly sad, there are still some happy moments. Anyway, hope you'll like it as much as I did (if you're going to see the movie when it comes out) or if you simply read the book! :) Have a good week-end, take care and see you soon I hope for another article! :) xxx

Demain, J'arrête!

Dear readers, Hope you're all OK and that until now you had good summer as much as I did. Even though it went too fast, as usual lol :) Anyway, just wanted to share an article with you. I know it has been a few weeks since I've posted something. But as I must have said already, I don't write for writing. I prefer to write if I'm only inspired and not too bore you with something meaningful. So, today, I wanted to talk about a book I've recently read. I discovred it by accident but didn't regret it as I couldn't stop reading it. Books it's not a secret, i love them! :) The plot? But first, the title (it's a french book): 'Demain, J'arrête!' Unusual title but really fun! Julie is currently working in a Bank (which she really hate) and has recently broken-up with her awful boyfriend. But it begins with something else. She could tell you all the stupid things she has done along her life. Although there is more stupid. A new neighbor arrives in her building. And suddenly without knowing why, she finds herself wanting to know more about him. Who is he? What is he job he is doing? What he likes? What he dislikes? In other word, she wants to know everything and every stragegy is good to learn more about this new intriging and mysterious new neighbor :-) I'll let you guess what happened next by reading it yourself! Anna Karenine by Tolstoï

Dear readers, Hope you're fine and having a nice summmer! :) Sorry for not writing so much but lately inspirations hasn't struck me much and as the summer will pass, I won't be writing much. Otherwise, I wanted to share with you a book I've been reading for the past month. yes, (rire), I know but it took me some time to read it and the book was quite long. It was divided in 8 parts and more than 900 pages! :) But I proud of me, as many times I wasn't so sure I would read it entirely. Although despite a few sentences (book translate from Russian to French and many languages after that) not always understandable and some passage can be a bit boring (sorry), sometimes it's quite complexe... I would like to add that the names of the characters can be sometimes different but apperently it the same and only person. (I suppose it can be nicknames...) Anyway it was a challenge but in the end one your mind is set on the it and that your understand better what happened, you can't stop and you want to know what happened! :) Well, I talked about the book in general but I should maybe tell you about the plot..., don't you think? :) So, the story is mainly taking place in Russia, during 3 years. Many events will happened but mostly we follow the story of Anna Karenine, married woman (don't ask me to tell you name of her husband, it's hard to remember) and mother of a young boy. Anna has a love story with Vronskï. She fell heplessy in love with him and leaves her husband and child for him. Doing that Anna will upset the Russian society,revealing its hypocrisy by just doing what she believes in and simply following her heart. She has been married young and soon had her son. Her husband is a strict and severe man with many principles. We can understand why she does that. Anna and Vronskï will live together in Italy for a while before returning to Russia. Throughout their story we also follow the story of her husband, her son, her brother and wife's story, and Kitty and Levine's (Leon en Russe)story. And many others that meet all the characters I've listed. (Hope I'm clear enough...) It's a beautiful story and I've enjoying reading it. It makes you react and think at the same time, trying to make you understand the characters better and also trying to see how life was at that period. It's worth reading it, no matter how long it takes you to read it (rire)! :) I just prefer happy endings...but will not say more (though you might already know what happens...?) I knew it before reading it..so I don't really know..:) but I migth add that some characters have a nice ending. I also heard that another adaptations will come out in the cinema soon, hope it will be good and faihful enough to the book...let's see! :) On that, I will now leave you but hope to write another article soon enough! :) Take care and see you soon I hope! :) Have a nice summer! :) xxxx

Dear readers, Hope you're all ok since my last article! Sorry for not writing sooner but lately I've a lot of things in mind and inspiration wasn't there much and as you must already know I don't really want to write for...writing something, I prefer to have something to share with you...:) Anyway, let's hope that the weather despite of some improvements, will be slightly better for the summer! :) I've nothing against the rain (we need water), sometimes I find it...soothing, I don't really know why but just listening at the rain coming down the sky...it can be relaxing! :) Of course, I love the sun as well! it make you smile and gets you mood up quite a bit! :) Also, I've recently discovered a rather nice TV show, that hab been broadcast in England, un petit bijou d'humour et de english mystery as they know how to do it. It's called 'Dowtown Abbey'. The plot? It first begun with the Titanic which goes under water and put in question the inheritance of a family house. The family is called the Grantham. It also continues with the first world war and a bit after for the second season. And along the family and the impact of all these events happenning, we follow as well the life and aventure of their staff, that worked with them. It's quite nice and the decor is well done. The clothers, the evolution of each characters is nicely written as well. We plunge easily in their world and we always ask for more! Can't wait for the next season! :) Hope you'll like it as much as did when I watch it! I also plunge myself (again lol) in some Jane Austen's Tv adaptation such as (mostly): "Sense and Sensibility", "Pride&Prejudice (Ah! I love it), and "Emma"! All very good and still not tired of it! :) And still reading of course, what would I do without books? I feel 'empty' without them! I like having books around, it's rather nice feeling as usual! :) I know that I haven't written a Bookholic recently but it takes times...anyway, we'll see, maybe later! :) Thanks again for reading my articles and hope to be able to write more often, though with the summer coming, I might write articles less...but don't worry I don't forget you! :) Take care and see you soon! xxx :)

Dear readers, Hope you're alright since my last article. Sorry for not writing sooner, but I wasn't really inspired. Anyway, as you might have already guess by reading the title of this note, I'm going to talk about movies,well, mostly the ones I recently saw. So, there is quite a long list, not too long but as 2012 bring quite a lot of nice movies, why not enjoy it? :) (smile) it's not often...! :) ;) Let's begin, then! (I might not remember all the movies but will try to add them as I go along) Movies I recenlty saw...(well just another...interruption before I start, you may have also already guess, I love going to the cinema, being in your seat, sitting in the dark and only the screen,enjoying every moment, laughing or crying, without anyone to see, being lost...) :) 1-Sherlock Holmes 2-"Games of Shadow", Never too far this one! :) "Élémentaire, mon cher Watson"! We were missing him too much and he has come back for another adventure, still funny, a lot of action and Sherlock, still the same, big kid liking the danger and the thrill of a new case! 2- Then, if I remember, I went to see the famous movie, "War Horse"! A spectacular movie, I quite liked it especially the extraordinary bond that linked Albert and Joey (the horse). The extreme courage and luck...doesn't let you unemotional. Steven Spielberg still got it, I think! :) ;) 3-"The Iron Lady"- Well, well, also a great movie. Meryl Streep, faithful to the character, gives quite a performance of Margaret Thatcher (hope I've spelled it ok^^) and we can see that she was very stubborn and very ambitious all along, never giving up! Quite impressive! :) 4-"The Artist"!!!! Well, well, there is no need to present that great movie which has already won many prizes on its way! I really liked and was really surprised! I didn't know what to expect and had a great time! :) 5-"The descendants" a touching Georges Clooney playing a father, whose his wife after a boat accident is in a coma, and he has to struggle with the fact that his wife had a lover. He also learn to know better his 2 daughters along the way. You can't not have a tears around! :) 6-"Jack&Jill" a funny comedy: when a brother invites his twin sister for thanksgiving and she's not like the other! :) Quite a nice movie, where you have a good time! :) 7-"Man on a ledge"- A thriller which keeps your breathe! A ex-convit escapes prison to prove his innocent, he wants to prove that he didn't stole a big diamond! While he stands on a ledge, all the eyes on him, his brother and his girlfriends help him! Also nice! :) 8-"Young Adult" Charlize Theron plays here -sorry for the terms but here her character is- a bitch (which she plays quite well), she is a divorced woman, writing novels and when she's receives from an ex-flame, who is married, a news announcing that he is a dad, she decided to go back where she grew-up and to win him back!Hope you'll also like it! :) (story written by the author of "Juno")! ;) 9-"The Vow" A touching love story, apparently based on a true story, where a couple has a car accident. His wife,unfortunaletly lost her memories and he has to win her back, trying to make her remember,to make her know him all over again...:) Really nice and a lot of emotions! :) 10-"Extremely loud and Incredibly close" A really really touching story where young Oskar lost his dad in the world trade center, on 11th sept. One day, by looking in his closet, he accidently find a mysterious key, hidden in a vase, he had broken by mistake. He begins to wonder: What is this key? What does it open? And begin a long quest to find out...! :) To see absolutely! :) 11-"One for the money"-Action comedy telling the story of Stephanie Plum, who has recently lost her job at Macy's and in need of money to pay the bills, she reconvert herself...in...being a bounty hunter! Original, no? Quite fun! ;) 12-"Safe house"- An action movie, where you don't have time to be bored or to breathe! Set in South Africa, we see a ex-cia agent who has turned his back and sells his service to highest bidder. On a mission, which doesn't really turn out well and a lot of other bad guys are after him, he lets himself being arrested and is later transferred in a safe house. Though, the safe house, is soon attacked...who's behind? I'll let you discover it,hoping you'll like it! :) 13-The Best exotic Marigold Hotel", another touching story, but this time, it is about 6 british pensionners,they don't know each other and they all have their own story, going to India. Meeting another culture, complety different from their, they will rediscover themselves...:) Also meeting a young man, full of dreams, managing the hotel (well, not really what they expected)and learn "that's alright in the end". great movie! :) 14-"This means war" A nice action comedy, where two CIA agent and best friends, begin to accidently date the same girl and the "war" begin to know who's going to win the girl! :) You won't regret it! ;) 15-"Wanderlust" A couple living in New York, lose their job and decides to experiment life in commune full of hippies (no they still exist^^)and a new adventure begin! :) you'll also learn that door are in the end, really really useful! (seeing the movie you'll see why^^)! :) 16- Again? Lol! Almost finished! I went to see : "John Carter"! A nice action movie where John Carter, goes to Mars (called another name but today it's called Mars)well, he goes there accidently, and...I know the story but my brain has trouble working lol maybe because it's the end of the day...but it's quite nice and the special effects are quite impressive! You won't be bored! :) 17- And the last one I recently saw:"Bel Ami" based on the novel written by the famous french writer , Guy de Maupassant, where Georges Duroy, a peniless soldier, uses his charms and body to gain fortune, seducing women, even married women...well he is really determined and doesn't accept being poor, dening he has been before, he can't live without money (well ok) but when he sees money his eyes are shining! Be careful lol! :) A quite nice adaptation among many others (though it's the first time I saw an adaption of the book, so I hope it stays faithful to the novel) and Robert Pattinson, is quite good in the role of Georges Duroy! :) Well, I think I've put all the movies I saw this past 2 months...! :) A lot, I know but never bored to discover new movies! :) And more to come, can't wait! :) ( like ' Mirror, Mirror' (a new "Snow White" adaptation before another this summer called "Snow White and the Huntsman" with Kirsten Stewart (aka Bella in Twilight) and Charlize Theron in the Evil Queen), 'The Hunger Games' (based on the book of Suzanne Collins, having read the books, (there are 3), they're quite good, though sometimes...I don't know...maybe I'm older and sometimes you really want to...(if I find the word I'm looking for, I will put it later) and "Avengers" based on the Marvel Comics, I love heroes, don't you?, also another adapation of Spiderman called "The Amazing Spiderman"(out this summer) and many others! :) still can't wait, héhé! :) xxx Anyway, good luck for everything and see you around for another article!(Maybe another Bookholic, we'll see) Take care, and don't hesitate to indulge yourself! :) xxxx

Dear readers,

Hope you're alright and are surviving to the cold and snow...! It gives you envy to stay warm and cosy at home with a good book ( Ah books!) and a hot cup of tea (Hum!), don't you think? :)

And today, just a quick article as today my blog is two years old already and make me realize how fast sometimes the time can go...! :) Again thank you for following me and supporting me by reading my articles! :)Hope you still have as much pleasure as me to read them! :)

Growing-up

Dear readers,

Firstly, I hope you're all fine on this Sunday :) Hope you all have a good week!

Oh! Again! Another article! I'm spoiling you! lol Always a pleasure! :)
I don't know why, as I hadn't planned to write for some time at least until next month, but It seem that inspiration is there, so let's enjoy it shall we? :)

Well, where to start? this thoughts has been with me for a while now, I don't mean it to make a big deal out of it...it's just something I've noticed and sometimes put it in writng is helping me...I'm aware that you are also aware of that, don't worry, just a thought...:) never mind...let's beging then..? Hum...we'll grow-up, we'll have to...though it's always nice to...stay or have a bit of child in us or otherwise it would'nt be too much fun, being serious all the time...!
But life is life and we'll have to grow-up at some point...and I don't for you, as for me it can be scary, finding a job, being independant (not bad) , becoming adult, seeing things differently, leaving the nest, flying away as we could say...(can be good), passing our driving license, to find an appartement, taxes, bills, finding a job (it seems simple when you everyone around you doing it but sometimes I wonder where to start? What to do? What job could interest me? What if I'm not good enough? I haven't always had much confidence in me, I know that, though I should); also interview(s) are not my forte...! It's not something I prefer! (lol)
And other things to come...not all bad I reassure you...there is also good things as you can see! :) It just that for some of us as well as me, we all need some time adjusting, finding our marks, finding out where we are going...not easy...it's feel like being a fish in the ocean!
Accompaying all that, we see less of our friends (I know I've already mentionned that thought previously a few months ago) , I won't be too long, as we're all busy doing other things like working (it's normal, I reassure you lol) we all have to at some point...it's not that...just we'll moving on, going each in our own path...(hopefully staying in touch!!!) just seeing less of each other...(something I miss that, though I try to understand that..and I do, otherwise we might "fight" all the time (rire)! and it's always a pleasure seeing them when I do...! :) Anyway, just to say, that change is good, just have to again adjust and find out where you go...it can be difficult and scary but you always hopefully find you way...especially when you've the people you love around you, to help you and advise you! :) Don't you think?
Hope I didn't bore you lol I just needed to write it down, growing-up is good and it's normal...! you begin to understand many things as you might not where you're too young, you are starting to grow-up simply, it's part of the process...it's normal(sorry if I'm repeating myself), to be afraid or scared, we'll coming through in the end, if our parents made it , why not us? we're all capable after all, just need to find our pace! I think...not experte on the subject yet , I've a lot to learn but it's what I'd guess or say...no need to rush too fast...no?

Hope you're all fine!

I just read a book (see title), actually I finished it yesterday and I can't not think about it...it was a really really moving story. I couldn't stop crying in the end! Some ressemblances with "Intouchables" but a bit different. The story begins with a man named Will Traynor, fan of sport and adventure, can't seem to stay in the same place for long. But one as he goes to work, the weather isn't really good and he wants to catch a cab. An accident happens. For this day, our sweet man is stuck in a wheelchair, and can't do much by himself. He is quadraplegic. it's awful as he as to 24h/day and night care, helping him for eveything. Two years passed.

Louisa Clark knows many things as the steps between the house and the bus stop, that she loves her job at the cafe and that she might not love her boyfriend for seven years Patrick. But she doesn't know she's going to lose her job.

Will doesn't it yet but Louisa Clark is about to burst in his life full of envy and colors, just to make him happy and smile again. To make discover that's life is worth it. Steps by steps and many things in between you can see those two beginning to know each other, s'apprivoiser en quelque sorte...

I can't tell you the end but I'm sure like me you'll be very moved and touched as I was and still am by this beautiful story, which make you understand things about persons in wheelchair and that's not easy every day for them, they are much more vulnerable than us, they demand much care and attention, and that musn't be easy again...so you have to patient and understanding, trying to be aware that they would rather be running, walking, traveling (though it's difficult, it's sometimes possible) and do many things they want,and not going from doctor to doctor, taking medication and painkiller, hoping one day they could be some cure...though even if we try to make their life easier...it's not easy....
This book really opens your eyes, or at least make you....I don't know...at least its raises some debates and questions...you will understand probably more by reading it...as I don't want to say too much and could reveal it without knowing it! (smile) This story really moved me, am still trying to understand...hum...the only thing that could resume all that would be: when you read it, you're amazed by this beautiful story, you're smile, you laugh, you hope and you cry...very emotional! (you'll probably need some tissues), in a good way! :) hope I didn't scare you! Anyway, It really worth it! Have a good reading! And see you soon for another article, take care, xxx

What's love?

Dear readers,

First, how are you? Hope that you're all ok and that this new year has begin well for you!

And, in this new year, I don't know why...not excatly why at least, this question (see title) although I think it has been in my mind for quite a...well, since a bit maybe, but lately it has been more present...maybe it comes with the fact that we're all growing up , more often thinking about it, asking or wondering questions on that subject and with all its represent...I guess! :)seeing our friends be with someone, getting all serious or wanting to get married in the near future...

Though all that would come with a lot of...er....well sorry again I might risk to repeat myself quite a lot, hope it won't be too much...(laugh) don't worry, I- anyway, let's come back to our sheep...where was I? Oh, yes, being with someone...going into relationship(s), going into the highway...scary, no? unless you're with the right person? hum...I think it's hard to tell...or at least it's different for everyone....don't you think? Between the one who have more experience than others...but the questions I'm wondering about or maybe you do too...is: What's love? How does it work? How do you do it? There is a lot of things said, a lot of theory exchanged, debates on radio or TV, people discussing about it, books written, movies made, family, friends, connaissance, unknown people also talking on the subject...but in the end there isn't really a manual which tell you exactly what to do, is there? You have to figure it out yourself, along the way...try to move on, with your instincts,or listening to your heart, to your family and close friends...making mistakes (or trying not to), learning from it...moving foward....
Also, what I wonder is when you're with that person, you have to learn to know each other, how do you do that? I mean...how do you learn to trust the other? How do you know you won't get hurt? How do...know all that stuff? And sometimes you have (hopefully not too many times lol) to do it all over again...hoping you'll find the right one...:) I guess it'll always be a bit of a mistery or something like that...(smile) It's surely something that when you know...well...you know. No? :) There is not a rational explanation...is there?
On that subject and not being an experte (chut! it's a secret! don't tell! smile discreet), and if I have other questions, which would come later on my mind, I'll put them!
