Bookholic –Part 2

Dear readers,

First, as you may say like always, how are you? Hope you're exam went well or will be going well... :)

And then, chose promise, chose due! I didn't forget! (rire)...there you go, the short list...euh...did I just say the short list? well, I should then change the word "short" by "long" (lol!) list of books I have been reading since then because, believe you me, I quite read a lot and more or less, literally "eat" one book after another! I might be "crazy", but as you may already know, I absolutely love books and really love them! :) I can't stop myself! Since I've learn to read, well, I read! And, with long English evening (night at 16h30!), it helps too! :) But, that doesn't bother me!

So, let's begin, shall we? :)

North&South-Elizabeth Gaskell. After seeing one of the BBC adaptations, I quite wanted to read the novel. The plot? "Margaret Hale, young girl, leaving in the South, has to go and live in the North, in Milton (Manchester today), industrial city as her father decided to quit his work as minister of the church. There, she meets Mr. Thorton. Theirs exchanges are quite strong and alive. We quite have the impression to have Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy, in front of us most of the time! Actually, we could say that it a "pride&prejudice" but a bit different, and between North&South. First, she rejects him but after many events, she will come to really like him." Recommended! :)

Bridget Jones's diary-Helen Fielding. "Eh oui, après avoir see again and again, the 2 movies, why not finally try, the first book? Well, it's quite follows movie, but it also has its differences, but don't worry, she's still with Mark Darcy in the end!" :)

Twelve days at Christmas- Trisha Ashley. New author that I didn't know, but quite nice to discover others and I really like the book, so... :): "Christmas is coming! As the festive season has always been a sad time young widow Holly Brown, she’s asked to look after a remote house on the Lancashire moors. It’s the perfect excuse for her, then, to forget about the festivities. The owner of the house, Jude Marland, is also avoiding Christmas since the last one he saw his brother run off with his fiancée. But forced to return home unexpectedly, Jude arrives to find that his family is running amok-with Holly seemingly at the centre of it. And the blizzard descends, no escape is possible. With nowhere to go, Holly and Jude get much more than they have bargained for and it soon looks like the twelve days of Christmas are going to be very interesting indeed!" It’s a really good book and quite funny, charming characters. You can’t get off this book. It’s impossible. Also recommended! J ;)

Also by Trisha Ashley: Chocolate Whishes: "Life is sweet for chocolate maker Chloe Lyon. In the picture perfect Lancashire village of Sticklepond , confectioner maker Chloe dispenses inspirational sweet treats containing a prediction for each customer. If only her own life was easy to forecast-perhaps Chloe would have foreseen being jilted at the altar…

But a few years later, when a new Vicar arrives in the village, something change, the rumor mill goes into overdrive. Not only is Raffy Sinclair the charismatic ex-front man of the rock-band ‘Mortal Ruin’, he’s also Chloe first love and the man who broke her heart. Try as she might be, Chloe can’t ignore this blast from her past. Could now be the time to her heart to make a wish-dare to believe it can come true?" A good book as well. Et qui vous donne l’eau à la bouche when the chocolate making is described. And lots of humoranf friendship. You want to know how it end! Enjoy!

Separate Beds- Elizabeth Buchan: "Annie and Tom’s marriage is in mid-life crisis. On the surface, they have everything- a lovely home, rewarding careers and three healthy grown-up children. But as you might have guess, all is not well. They have their problems and share painful secret guilt which ensures they sleep separates beds. One day, Tom comes home and drops a bombshell. Everything could change. As Annie and Tom’s family rally together for the first time in years, their home is filled with people, conversations, tears-and laughter. And little by little, during the novel, they each start to open up to one another about the painful truth they have lived with all these years. We then see them face them and growing-up, make peace and become closer than ever. Annie and Tom are offered a second chance at happiness. Will they take it?" A moving story which proves as always like friendship, that family is important and whatever happens she will be there for you. Highly recommended! J ;)

Ah! Another author, which since I discovered it, I really like her! Her stories get out of the ordinary and you never know what to expect and what’s going to happen. You simply want to know the end of the story, impossible to get out, you want to continue reading! Did you guess? It’s….? J

The book of tomorrow-Cecelia Ahern:" What’s about? This a story about how tomorrow can change what happens today…intriguing isn’t it? I was at first, as you might have seen the title…!? So…? Tamara Goodwin has everything she ever wanted and she never has to think about tomorrow. But suddenly everything changes and her world turned upside down and she has to leave her glamorous life for a new one in the countryside. However, Tamara is soon lonely and longing to return home. Then a travelling library arrives in the village, bringing with it a mysterious leather-bound book locked with a gold clasp and padlock. What is it? What Tamara discovers within its pages takes her breath away and everything starts to change around her, in the most unexpected of ways…"

I’ll let you discover the following and I’ll guarantee you that you won’t be able to stop reading it! Very recommended! J ;)

Also, by Cecelia Ahern…a first novel, the most…touching of all I think…well and simply written, P.s, I love you: "we follow the story of Holly and Gerry. They’re childhood sweethearts and shared everything. They got married and everyone, who know them and see them together, can say they’re perfect for each other. But, sadly and unexpectedly, Gerry past away. Holly is devastated and doesn’t how to move on at first as she had know him for quite a long time! Though as the month passed, a surprise is waiting Holly…Gerry, before dying, has had an idea…every month, during one year, (one letter per month, which makes 12 month). Holly will receive a letter from him with a dare, to do. And the letters are signed: ‘Ps, I love you’. As year pass, Holly is challenged and we see her, little by little, slowly move on supported by her family and really good friends. "A novel again that you can stop reading and you can’t resisting having a small tears, in the corner of your eyes, as you go along your reading. A film, as you might have also see, has been made. Quite good and a bit different from the book, as you have some changing details, but whatever they’re both good. But I’ve to confess, I’ve a preference for the book…J (hope you won’t mind) (rire)

And if you can’t stop reading Cecelia Ahern’s books, run and discover: “If you could see me now” “Thanks for the memories”, and “Where rainbows end”. Also really great books! J

Ah…quite unusual title for a book….! You will see it in a minute… (Laugh) : You’re the one that I don’t want-Alexandra Potter. "After, Me& Mr. Darcy, Alexandra Potter makes us follow the story of Lucy and Nate. They meet in Venice, aged 18. And she knows instantly that he’s THE ONE. Caught up in the moment and very much in love, they kiss under the Bridge of Sights at sunset. Which- according to legend-will tie them forever. But ten years later…, they’ve completely lost sight of each other. That is the case until Lucy moves to New York and the legends bring them together. And again, and again. And again…..it’s without an end… and Lucy asks herself: but what if Nate isn’t THE ONE? How is she going to get rid of him? What does she have to do? Because ‘forever’, can be a very long time…indeed! "So what’s going to happen? I’ll let you guess, as you might want to read it after all! A great book that you also want to know the end of the story, until the last pages! J

Hum…hum…a big smile appears on my face…another author….no you’re not dreaming, I still haven’t finish…I did warn you! (Laugh)!!!! J After, “What happens in London” written by the famous Julia Quinn, I couldn’t resist to discover and read other books she has written.

Splendid- Julia Quinn: You’re going to love it! "Emma Dunster, an American heiress, has always been fun-loving and independent with no wish to settle into marriage. She plans to enjoy her Season in London in more unconventional way than husband hunting. But this time Emma’s high jinks lead her into dangerous temptation…

Alexander Ridgely, the Duke of Ashbourne, is a notorious rake who carefully avoids the risk of love…until…he plants one reckless kiss on the sensuous lips of this high-spirit innocent. Soon sparks-and laughter- fly when these two terribly determined people cross path during one very splendid London spring Seasons!"

This book is full of laughter, misunderstanding (quickly resolute), friendship, and touching characters. You will want to know the end! (Again!). You have, in all her novel, Jane Austen who meets Bridget Jones! Really Splendid!

The Duke and I- Julia Quinn: In the family Bridgerton, there are 8 children! All named in alphabetical orders: Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory and Hyacinth! All are funny, touching and full of good sense of humor! J In this book, I’m asking for Daphne! She is number four of the Bridgerton tribu. "After two seasons in London, Daphne Bridgerton is no longer naïve enough to believe that she will be able to marry for love. But is it really too much to hope for a husband for whom she at least has some affection?

Her brother ‘s old school friend Simon Bassett-the new Duke of Hastings-has, you might have guess, no intention to marry soon. Not ever. However (always), when he returns to London, he find himself the target of the desperate mothers who absolutely wants to marry their daughters, as they only were thinking of that!(Ah lala…sometimes, I’m simply happy to in the 21^st century, no to have to worry about marriage, even at 21 or 22…when you’re already considered as a ‘spinster’! So, I don’t want to imagine what it’s like to be 30 years old in the 19^th century, not that I don’t like it. It’s also nice to see how they were leaving. ) To deflect their attention and make some diversion, the handsome hell-raiser proposes to Daphne that they pretend to form an attachment. In return, he’ll ensure she becomes the belle of London society and help her to find a husband. There’s just one problem…Daphne is in danger to falling for a man, who has no interest in marrying her…and make their charade therefore becoming true." Highly recommended! Full again, of laughter and people who learn about themselves, under the regularly cheerful notes in the newspaper, written by the mysterious Lady Whistledown. Who is she? No one knows but everyone loves reading her, as she seems to know a lot of things, even things that are personal. Hum…? What does Sherlock Holmes would say? “Elementaire, mon cher Watson! “

The Viscount who loved me-Julia Quinn: This time we are going to follow the adventure of Anthony, the eldest of the Bridgerton. "Anthony Bridgerton needs in a wife. Having spent his twenties in a rakish pursuit of pleasure (while taking care to ensure the financial security of his mother and seven younger siblings) he knows it’s time to settle down and ensured the Bridgerton line.

Edwina Sheffield is considered the most beautiful debutante of the current season. She is also sweet, innocent and eminently biddable-Anthony is sure she’ll make a perfectly acceptable wife and he vows to make her his. But…but…that won’t happen as easily as he thoughts! There is one problem is his way…: Kate Sheffield, Edwina’s older sister! Kate is determined to do all she can to allow her sister to marry for love rather than convenience. And the roguish viscount is beginning to think he may have met his match in Kate’s keen wit and sharp tongue. But…but…that’s only until he makes, of course, (Laugh), the mistakes of…kissing her…"let you guess what’s going to happen! Highly recommended…! The Bridgerton family is really touching, fun and always there for each other. And which sometimes make you want to have a big and loving family as they do.

An offer from a Gentleman- Julia Quinn: Again, we find again the Bridgerton (I began to grow fond of them). "And this book follows the number two but not only Benedict Bridgerton.

As the illegitimate daughter of the Earl of Penwood, Sophie Beckett has never been accepted in polite society. And since her father’s untimely death, her step-mother has made her life doubly hard, forcing her to work as an unpaid servant. Sophie’s days are pure drudgery, until one night her fellow servants conspire to help her attend the Bridgerton masquerade ball.

There she meets her very own Prince Charming, handsome Benedict Bridgerton and falls head over heels in love. Benedict is equally smitten, but when the clock strike midnight Sophie is forced to flee the ballroom, leaving only her glove in his hand…"

An ‘air of déjà-vu’? Quite as there is some resemblance with one of the Disney classic and magic: Cinderella, in the 19^th century! You’ll also love it! And again, I recommend it to you! J

Again! Will you say I’m sure! (Smile), I seem to can’t stop reading Julia Quinn’s books! Hum…! Never mind, she writes well and quite simply! J

This time I’ve read: Brighter than the Sun-Julia Quinn: the story? "Eleanor Lyndon was minding her own business when a lord of the realm fell-quite unexpectedly and literally-into her life. When Charles Wycombe, the dashing and incorrigible Earl of Billington, toppled out of a tree and landed at Ellie’s feet, neither suspected that such an inaususpicious meeting would lead to marriage. But Charles must find a bride before his thirtieth birthday or he’ll lose his fortune. And Ellie needs a husband or her father’s odious fiancée will choose for her. And so this unlikely pair agree to wed…"

You’ll also love it, like her other novel, full of laugher. J Enjoy!

A new book I’ve recently discover and didn’t regret it, it was a nice surprise! “From Notting Hill with Love Actually” (even the title is nice and makes you want to read the book!)- Ali McNamara. It’s her first novel and it’s really good and well-written. The plot? "Scarlett loves the movies. But does she love sensible fiancé David just as much? With a big white wedding in the horizon, Scarlett really should have decided by now…

When she has the chance to house-sit in Notting Hill-t he setting of one of her favorite movies-Scarlett jumps at the chance. But living life like a movie is trickier than it seems, especially when her new neighbour Sean is so irritating. And so irritatingly handsome, too.

Scarlett soon finds herself starring in a romantic comedy of her very own: but who will end up as the leading man?" To know the answer, read it and I’m sure you’ll love it! As I also did! J ;) Great book that I couldn’t stop reading until the end, until the last page! J ;) It's give you as well envy to se your classic again as may films are mentioned: 'Notting Hill', 'Pretty Woman', 'Four Wedding and a Funeral', 'When Harry met Sally'....etc...

Walking back to happiness- Lucy Dillon: After reading one of her book “lost dogs and lonely hearts” (quite good), I read this new book with as much delight as the first! This time, "Juliet has been hiding. From her family, from her broken life, but most of all from the fact that Ben’s not around anymore.

Her mother, Diane has run out of advice to help he r daughter. But then she insists on Juliet to look after her elderly Labrador and it becomes apparent that Coco the dog might actually be able to help her through this difficult period, and to rescue her daughter. Especially when it leads to her walking dogs for few other locals too, including a spaniel, Damson, who belongs to a very attractive man…

Before she knows it, Juliet realizes she has somehow become the town’s unofficial pet-sitter. A job which makes her privy to the lives and secret of everyone whose animals she’s caring for. "A nice moving story full of touching people. (And makes you want to have a dog!).

2 stories. All in relation with Christmas. The first one, we follow "a mother-to-be, Mary Jo Wyse, who has arrived to Cedar Cove on Christmas Eve, pregnant and alone. And there’s no room at the local inn but in this village, that’s not a problem, as they’ll soon welcome Mary Jo in their own house. They’re all willing to help her out. There’s more than enough faith, hope, and love to go around Christmas." “A Cedar Cove Christmas – Debbie Macomber

The second one: “Mrs. Miracle”- Debbie Macomber: "Emily Merkle (call her Mrs. Miracle!), is working in the toy department at Finley’s- a store that needs Christmas miracle to keep the business afloat. Fortunately, it’s Mrs. Miracle to the rescue. Next to making children happy, she likes nothing better than helping others-including just a bit of matchmaking! Indeed, Christmas isn’t without love…!" J Nice stories and easy to read, as you are intrigued by knowing what’s going to happen next!

Finally, for almost finishing the short list…euh…sorry, the long list of book I’ve been reading these past weeks, Sense & Sensibility-Jane Austen. She is never too far away! After her other novels, Pride& Prejudice, Emma, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion, I wanted to discover this new story, after also seeing two of the several adaptations on TV or cinema. The plot? “Why the most irresistible men are always the most unsuitable? “ Hum... I wonder...?

"Sisters Marianne and Elinor Dashwood couldn’t be more different. Marianne is desperately romantic and longing to meet the man of her dreams, while Elinor takes a far more cautious approach to love.

When the two of them, move to the country with their family, miles away from London, there is little prospect of them finding anyone at all. But who isn’t Jane Austen to make the Dashwood’s sisters falling desperately in love?

But then, they meet their neighbours-including kind Edward Ferrars and the good-looking, dangerous Willoughby-and it seems happiness may be just round the corner after all.

Things aren’t always as they appear to be, though. Soon, both sisters will need to decide who trust in their search for love: their family, their new friends, their heads-or their hearts?" A really good book and as I had seen the movie and TV adaptations before, I was glad to finally read it. And couldn’t stop reading it wanted to know how it will end. There’s only one book left, “Mansfield Park” with another of Jane Austen’s heroine: Fanny Price. Next time, without doubt…! J ;)

The Nearly-Weds-Jane Costello: After, Bridesmaids and My single friend, I find myself enjoying reading this new story.. "What’s the worst thing that could happen to a blushing bride? To somebody warm, loving, and fun-like Zoe Moore? After Zoe is jilted by her fiancé Jason, she’s unable to face the pitying looks of her friends and family. She decides to go to America. She is then employed as a nanny by a moody difficult but devastatingly (décidement…lol), sexy single dad, Ryan.

Zoe quickly wins over the children, but their father is more of a challenge. Things aren’t helped of course, by her inadvertently displaying her knickers to his colleagues or nearly hospitalizing him with a toy bow and arrow. Thank God she’s got her colorful circle of friends to keep her sane: fun loving Trudie, hippy Amber and chilly, tight-lipped Felicity. And with time, Zoe and Ryan come to know each other better and their apparently ill-fated relationship takes on a new dimension. One problem, however, that Zoe soon discovers: the past isn’t always too far way…and not easy to escape, no matter how far away you go." Quite simple and refreshing story, with nice characters that you like to know better while you read the book’s pages! Again, very recommended! J

Last one of the list (for now), Recipe for disaster- Miriam Morrison: Miam! Affinez vos papilles et léchez vos Babine! Cupids cooking up trouble…. (Smile)

"Jake Goldman and Harry Hunter have been deadly rivals all through culinary school. Now at the top of their game, fate thrown them back together again, when they open their first restaurants in the small town of Easedale, just a few hundred metres from each other. Interesting book and glad to have discovered it! J Nice surprise to find a book full of life, laughter, and among other things, friendship and lovely characters. ;) J

Hope you're ok in the begin of this new month! Yes, we are in December...already! Crazy, isn't it?

Anyway, just a little note day, more in pictures than with words..., to make the time going faster and to hung up a bit until Christmas Holidays, in which I'm eager to be, as much as you must be, I'm sure! :)
And it is this Christmas Spirit that we saw, shops and streets which begin to be at Christmas time, with lights, decorations, christmas songs, guirlandes, and christmas trees! Also, what better than snow to begin to feel at Christmas? :)

Inquiètudes & questions

Dear readers,

First and as usual, how are you?

For me, well, I'd really like to tell that I'm ok and everything...but that's not the case....not really, I'd say...this past few days...my moral seems to have gone under the weather...crap! I don't like that...I've the chance to be there and discover new things...just that...I don't know...my brain started working...(rire)...I'm kidding...there's not problem for that (expect when you're trying to sleep). For getting back to our sheep, where I was exactly...? Oh...yeah...just that I begin to panic...between exams and assignments coming up...I see all that and begin to wonder how I'm going to do...? I see the teatcher's expectations and wonder wether I'll be able to do it...it's just the beginning and I'm learning, it's normal..no?But....I just panic anyway...and don't if I can do it? Many things in my mind lately and doesn't really help...I hope it'll be ok...with time...because I need to think posetively and to think that I'll be able to go through...I need to believe in me...even if I know most of the time, I don't really have faith in me...
And I miss my family and friends...even if I know that they're not too far away...:)
I don't know where I'm right now...and fortunately I find comfort in books or series that i like, It might be stupid, but they allow me to be elsewhere, to dream and imagining how are the characters, during the time I put my problems away before returning to it. And of course, writing is kind of helping me a lot, allowing me to express myself and helping finding the words I'm looking for...:)

Anyway, I'm not going to bore you with my problems, but then again...It's helping me...so....thank you for listening and will let you know the following.

Réplique mystère sur un air musical

Just a quick note hoping you are ok and that going back to school wasn't to hard! :)
For me, it was a bit hard but as it happens, quite ok. :) It was I leave yesterday a something, maybe it mean that I'm growing fond of the place...who knows? To be continued...I'll let you know! ;)

So? Did you guess? I found it quite funny, well, maybe you have to see it in the real context, but when you see it, you just want to laugh! And there is many of it in it! They have quite a repartie! And again, whatever how many times, you see it..., il n'a pas pris une ride! It's a really great movie, that I'm glad to have discover! :) ;)

Question on a very delicat subject

Dear readers, First, how are you? Hope you're ok and have a good week holiday, despite of the fact that the time is going fast? :) Ah ala...la...hum? Par commencer? C'est un sujet un peu délicat et je vous avoue que je ne m'y connais pas trop...alors pardon par avance, si je m'embrouille ou si vous pensez que je pense un peu comme une "cynical". C'est juste mon avis sur la question, chacun à le sien...non? Et cette question reste ouverte et est très large, à vous de penser ce que vous voulez! Avez-vous devinez? De quoi pourrais-je bien parler? (rire) :) En ce moment, (ce n'est pas que j'y tiens beaucoup ou le prend trop à coeur...juste que ça m'interpelle), on entend beaucoup de chose...et j'avoue que sometime, ça ne me donne pas envie d'y croire...au contraire ou alors me donne envie d'être doublement vigilante, de faire more attention...je me sens perdue...entre les gens qui sont ensemble, ses liens qui se font et se défont, se fragilisent ou heureusement se fortifient avec le temps et me prouve que tout est possible...:) J'aimerais y croire et me dit qu'après tout, conte de fées ou pas, on a tous le droit d'y croire et tant pis que si on nous prends pour des "romantiques" de première... Juste que hear all those things , you don't really want to believe in it (even if you try to be neutral and follow your own path...without paying attention to all that, and you are completly right...) but as much as you try, you've this little voice, which making you think and think about that...despite of you not wanting it...(lol) it's life...no? Anyway, between the things you see and you hear, I find it hard to believe in it when you already try as much as you can to have your own opinion on the subject..., yes, and it's not a secret, love is complicated...! it has its up and down...as you can see (smile discreet) but please, que ça ne vous empêche pas d'y croire, ces impressions sont les miennes et proviennent sans doute d'une célibataire endurci à la Bridget Jones (rire), who is trying to believe in love, despite of all her cliché...:) between the "...and they live happily ever after", Mr Darcy et tout ces héros ou héroïnes qui nous font rêver... c'est bien beau mais se sont ils demandés ce qu'était la réalité? ^^(don't worry I find it sweet and funny...maybe sometime, il m'arrive d'en m'en moquer gentiment, sans doute une sorte de mécanisme, c'est tout moi rire! ) alors n'en tenez surtout pas compte (c'est moi qui me pose des questions) et please, don't stop to believe in love...!:)

To conclude,I won't tell you the rest and what they are for preserving the mystery and I let you guess what it could be...rire!) si je révèle tout, ça ne serait plus drôle...^^

Dear readers,

Hope you're ok and have a good holidays if you're! :)

As you might have already understood, I'm back to France for one week, it's a bit short but it's already that and I'll have more time at Christmas! :) (4 weeks!) ;)

So, after a quite long trip and a lot patience (lol), Here I am at HOME! A bit strange, but really glad to be there! Cela fait du bien et me permettra de recharger les batteries, tout en profitant au maximum de ma petite famille adorée et de mes amis, je l'espère bien! Vous m'avez tous manqué! :)

Quelques news

Dear readers,

Hope you're ok and that you're happy with your studies! Just a little note, with as usual, accompagny by a cup of tea and with the music of Michael Jackson, "Black or White". :)

I know that I wasn't very around and hope you won't tend that against me. In the moment, I confess that I've many things in mind and not in the mood to write too much. My mood ou mon moral, je dirais, likes to play the russian mountain this past few weeks. Don't worry, nothing to worry, just the fact that I miss my family and friends, but will have the priviledge to see them for one week! A bit short, I know but at least will get the chance to see them a bit before Christmas, where I'll have more time (4 weeks!). :)

In the mean time, I know I didn't really take the time to talk to you about my new english life in Bognor Regis and Chichester. And also about my lecture at university. I'll try to be more precise but today, I'll be short. Nice university, nice student and teachers, who seems to like make us learning new things and seems very enthusiastic about it, which is great, don't you think? And begin to settle and discover day after day, my 4 modules for this semester 1, as they call it. :)
I've for the moment: - Creative Writing: Activating the imagination: Poetry (Prose will follow later). - Strategies for reading (analyse, how to read a passage, an extract, be thorough). - Language: form and function (not to forget our english, our vocabulary or grammar, revoir les bases) and finally Victorian Literature (study about somes authors who have written under the reign of Queen Victoria).
As for the roomates, quite nice and friendly, despite the fact that they're noisy sometimes or don't do right away la vaisselle, qui tend à s'entasser, mais sera faite plus tard. Le reste, rien à redire. :) Ils sont plutôt sympa. ;)
Both city are nice, and one is near the sea, which is really great, and allow me to relax and just hear the waves and the mouettes. :) the other one, quite human size, too and a lot of charm. :)Pour finir, je suis bien tombée! :) (smile discreet). ;)

How are you? It has been, indeed, quite a long time, or at least a few weeks, that I didn't write. Let's say that I needed some inspiration. I don't like to write for writing, I really like and prefer writing when I'm inspired, when I know what to write, what to say to you. So, as I might have guess already, in the begin of this new month, I'm inspired. :)

Today, in this saturday, under the rain, or maybe almost on this sunday, I'm going to talk about something that I already talk about in this blog a few month ago. Something that transport me, something that makes me laugh, cry, or make me angry, something that makes me dream, imagine how the character could be, how they are, how they live, something that give me idea when I'm writing, something that ,with my dearest family, has always been there for me. And which also, if I'm really in the story, will make you impossible to talk to me! :)
This something, is of course, books. And the title gives you also a clue!
In this past few weeks, I read a lot of them, with great pleasure and I'd like to share it with you. Maybe after that, you'll want to read them too! :)

First, after a summer during the one I read too and me suis replongée avec délice dans quelques Katie Fforde ou autre auteurs comme James Patterson et son fameux héros, Alex Cross, j'ai découvert another book which was advise me by my dear dad:

- The Dog-Walker by Leslie Schnur. Story refreshing and quite unsepexted, I'd say. The plot?
Nina Shepard is a dog walker in New York. People ask her to walk their dog every day. And she has sometimes the key of their appartement and therefore have access to their lives. Sometimes, by curiosity, she snoops in and look at their lives.
Enter Daniel. Nina walks his dog. And she thinks, by snooping in his appartement, that she knows him.
But it is Daniel who holds the key to Nina's heart. One moonlit night on a pier overlooking the Hudson River they are pulled them into the treacherous waters of love. What she doesn't know is that Daniel is an imposter, pretending to be what he is not. And by the time she learns who he really is, after mishaps and mistaken identities, deception and lost dogs, it's too late. She's fallen for someone she never would have expected.

Je me suis ensuite plongée dans un livre d'un auteur que j'aime bien. Il s'agit de:

- Ken Follett: Un Monde sans fin (une suite, je dirais dans la lignée des Pilliers de la terre ( que je vous recommande également). Une saga porté par différent personnages au destin incroyable. Des personnages qui croit en la liberté, en un monde meilleur, qui croient en leurs rêves malgré un chemin tortueux et rempli d'embûches. Voici l'histoire: Kingsbridge, ville prospère, vivant à l'ombre de sa cathédrale et de son prieuré. 1327. En ce mois de Novembre et jour de la Toussaint, quatre enfants vont assister à un évènement, qui bouleversera leur vie. Ils jureront alors de ne rien dire sur ce qui s'est passé ce jour là. on les retrouve dix ans plus tard, chacun ayant emprunté un chemin différent. On peut les suivre à travers les années, voir ce qu'ils sont devenus. Des séries d'intrigues sont présentes tout au long du livre. Même si parfois on aimerait que ça avance un peu plus vite, ce livre est rempli de rebondissement et vous ne pourrez plus le lâcher. Des héros rempli d'ambitions (bonne ou mauvaise) et qui croient, malgré tout en leur rêve. Je vous laisse le découvrir à votre tour, en espèrant que vous l'apprécierez tout autant que moi. :)

Then I begin to read in english again, with great pleasure and delight.
Ok, that would maybe be a cliché, but I don't care, the book is good and liked it.

First, the title: A week-end with Mr Darcy by Victoria Connelly. (Yes, I know!^^) The pitch?

Katherine Roberts, lecturer specialising in the work of Jane Austen, and give lecture in Oxford (yes!), is fed up. She has come to realise that the ideal man only exists within the pages of Pride&Prejudice.
Austen fanatic, Robyn Love, is blessed with a name full, of romance, but her love life, is far to be perfect. She is stuck in a rut with a bonehead boyfriend and she longs for an escape.

They both head to the annual Jane Austen conference, hoping to cast their troubles away. But, as you might have guessed, as chaos ensues, it seems an Austen week-end wouldn't be complete without a little intrigue and romance along the way...!
" Hold on to your bonnets!"

A refreshing book and also fun, attachant personnage. On se replonge avec delight dans l'univers improbable de Jane Austen. On a envie de savoir comment ça va se terminer. Ce livre is for all the Jane Austen's fan and for someone who will recognise herself and she should, I think like it as well. :)

After that great book, I found myself in the world of Julia Quinn and What happens in London. " Rumours and gossip...the life-blood of London." You'll like it, so much that you won't be able to stop reading. I finished this one in two days!!!
The story begin by a young woman Olivia Bevelstoke, who, when she heard a rumor about her new neighbour may have killed his fiancée! She doesn't believe it for a second, but still, curiosity wins. She can't resist. How can she help spying on him, just to be sure? And she begins to spy him by looking at her bedromm window, cleverly concealed by curtains, watches and waits. She discovers a most intriging man who is definitely up to someting....
Sir Harry Valentine works for the boring branch of the War Office, translating documents vital to national security. He's not a spy but he's had all the training, and when a gorgeous blonde decides to watch him from her window he is instantly suspicious. But just as he decides that she's nothing than a noisy debutante, he discovers that she might be engaged to a foreign prince, who could plot against England. And when Harry is roped into spying on Olivia, he realises that he may well be falling for her himself.
Book fun and simple, original characters, full of envie. It's really good as well. :)

Puis, me voilà, après quelques romances et intrigues drôles, plongé dans l'univers intriguant d'Harlan Coben, one his first novel: Play Dead. Really good and still couldn't read it, I had to know the end! I begin on a saturday, and finish on the following day, on the sunday!!! :) I'm crazy but the book is really reallly good again and you have to know the end. It's (almost) impossible otherwise!
The story? It should have been the happiest time of her life. But Laura Ayars' honeymoon turned into a nightmare when her sports superstard husband went for a swim and never returned.
Whilst struggling to cope with her almost overwhelming grief, Laura is plagued by questions and doubts. Was it an accident? Or suicide? Or is it some terrible, ill-judged hoax? As event unfold, Laura starts, to question David's mysterious disappearance. She begins to uncover a conspiracy which reaches deep into the past, and is now slowly begin to destroy everyone involved. And someone will do anything to keep Laura away from the truth. And she has no idea who she can trust...
Simply fascinating and again great book! :)

Then after an overwhelming book, I read another: The Love trainer by Julia Llewellyn
Katie Wallace had her heart broken once and doesn't want to have it again. Nor anyone or the other women. She struggles to find a job she likes, she discovers that she has some good social skills and also gives somme advice. Katie has this original idea that man can be trained like dogs! (no, you're not dreaming!) , and have all sorts of different theories around that subject. But she'll come to realises that, it's not always like that. Can you really coach a man like you would a dog? I'll let you discover the anwser...
Nice book, a lot of fun and you'll want to know the end! :)

After Carol Matthews ( english writer that I like) and her "The Chocolate Lovers Club" et ses heroÎnes toujours prêtes pour aider l'une des leurs, quoiqu'il arrive entre emmerdes et amours, voici: The Yorkshire Pudding Club written by Milly Johnson, a story of three good friends who becomes pregnant almost at the same time. Nine month' membership, A lifetime's friendship.
When three South Yorkdhire friends picnic on a top of a ancient fertility symbol, who would have known that within four months they would actually all have their eggs fertilised!
For Helen, pregnancy is a dream come true. But the more the baby growns inside her, the more she can see her outwardly perfect marriage crumbling before her eyes.
For a career woman like Janey, becoming pregnant, it's a nightmare. How could she got pregnant when with her husband, George ( enthusiastic about being a dad), they're always careful on contraception? How is that possible?
For Elizabeth, not only carrying a child she fears that she won't be able to love, she has to deal with the return of a man whose love she can never have.
A book full of surprise as you can see our three heroines becoming more and more pregnant, trying not to be scared. Three strong women, with their issues but who seems to be there for each other whatever happens. :) A good lecture about friendship, showing us that it's one the most important thing in life and that even if we find love, friends are always here, around us and it's really good to have them and do everything we can to help each other, to show them, that we care or simply say that we are here, not to far away. :)

Sur cette belle liste de livres lu this past few weeks, I was wondering whether I was normal or not, but I think I'm not et ça me va. J'aime beaucoup les livres and always like it. Je ne m'en cache pas, j'adore ça! (smile discreet). Peu importe, si l'on me prend pour un ovni. J'adore me plonger dans les livres et découvrir leur héros ou héroïnes tout au long du bouquin. C'est un délice! C'est un plaisir qui m'accompagne depuis toujours! :) Et vous savez quoi? Je ne m'en lasse pas! Bonne lecture à tous! :) ;)

After all this good books, I'm reading now, and for the need of the course, (again but not a problem) J'ai d'ailleurs revue récemment une des nombreusses versions adaptées, toujours auss bien que vous voulez savoir la suite. Des personnages haut en couleurs, très bien intréprétés par autre Toby Stephens (as Mr Rochester) and Ruth Wilson (as Jane Eyre). Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. A great story. Jane Eyre is an orphan and she is raised but her aunt, Mrs Reed and her three children. Her husband, John Reed made her promess to raise Jane as her own child. Which she won't do it and will treat badly. She doesn't like Jane Eyre at all. Fortunelately, Jane as a friend, Bessie, a servant, who is attached to her and helpl get through every day. But one day, Jane Eyre is sent to Lowood school. Life is not good and you die from diseases. Jane will have a good friend Helen Burns, who died, because she is very ill.
Years laters, Jane became a teatcher. She paints and draw very well and she has learn French.
One day, after having advetise, she becomes the governess of Adèle, a french girl, who is the ward of a certain Mr Rochester, who lives in Thornfield Hall. Peu a peu, une relation de confiance et de profond respect, for each other is settled. Soon it's becomes Loves. Despite of everything they fall in love. But Rochester has secret that could keep him and Jane forever apart... Can Jane choose bewteen what is right and her own happiness? Can Love come over everything?

Sur le départ

How are you? Hope that going back to school was ok for you and not too hard after this great summer holidays!

For me, tomorrow, I'm leaving again. I'm going back to England, more precisely, in Chichester, to study English and Creative Writing. It seems great and interesting but the thing is I'm stressing a bit and apprehend it. I'm realizing that I already have to go, it went to fast, it's crazy!
I didn't see the time past. :) And for sure, I'm going to miss my family and friends! I know that I'll see them soon but I miss them already. :)
Surely, when I'll be in the rythm, it should be okay...it just that the unknown and me, ça fait un! lol I always need time to adapt myself, when i don't where I am and where I'm going. (smile).

Anyway, pour me changer les idées, et ne pas trop stresser, j'ai pu revoir quelques amies (c'était très sympa) avant de repartir, ainsi que quelques membres de ma famille, et ça m'a fait le plus grand bien. Cela m'a permis de recharger les batteries et d'oublier en quelque sorte, que je repars. Non pas que je ne suis pas contente, je vous rassure, I'm just a bit stressed. :)
And also I recenlty watched with some friends, or maybe watched again, some Disney: more precisely: Sleeping Beauty and The Beauty and The Beast! It was really great and really fun! I know that we already konow how it's going to end , but never mind that, it still nice, simple and funny. L'humour à la sauce Disney qui nous permet de retomber le temps d'un dessin animé en enfance, de retrouver notre âme d'enfant, et de penser à autre chose. De mettre nos pensées, nos inquiétudes, nos problèmes ou autres de côté et de se replonger dans un univers complètement différent. To be somewhere else. To hear some nice song, even if now you find a bit old fashion, but they're simple and easy to understand. And there is some good jokes. Just what I needed. :) Now, It gave me the envy to watch some other Disney! (smile) :)
And before, I forget, thete is still one my favourite serie: Friends, which is still here when I need to laugh et me remonter le moral. :) ;)

So, on this note, I'm going to let you and hope to have the time to write another note. I, of course, will give you posted on my new english adventure in Chichester! :) ;) I have to do my luggages! :)

Péle-mèle

Dear readers,

Me voilà back in Versailles since almost a week now trying to find something to do. Between writing, reading, thinking about my departure for England (a bit stressed I would say!), and if I would have time to see my friends before I leave? But as they also their rentrée or something else...I don't really know. When I'm calling them, I leave a message, but don't call you back right away (fine), at least a bit later, not when I'll be already gone. (rire). It just that it will again, push away the moment I'll see them. I try to say to myself that it's not big deal and that I could still see them later, but sometimes I don't know if I have enough patience in me to wait and wait. It's not the end of the world, I get it. Just the fact, that I couldn't see all of them when I got back from Oxford, after they were gone in holidays (no problem), but now rentrée et tout le bazar, j'aurais pas le dire ouf, que je serais déjà gone. (lol). And the thing is, we don't see each other often. I miss them terribly!! That's life, I know! (smile discret!). What can we do? Hope I'll have enough patience. Because I don't know yet, when I'll be back. Maybe a week-end or two between October or November? After that, I'll only be back for Christmas Holidays! :) So...let's see! :) ;)
And hope for the best! :)

Ouh là! It's has been quite a long time that I didn't write! Let's catch up a bit. But I won't be too long and will be writing a long note later. Hope, otherwhise, that you're all ok and have good holidays. For myself, I have quite some nice holidays enjoying the Charentes's charms, after being in the Bassin d'Arcachon, taking a bain de mer and relaxing on the beach (was great), with my family. The weather change between sun and clouds and rain sometimes but never mind, I still take some fresh air before returning to Versailles. A lot in my mind

It has been quite a long time...but don't worry, I'll be back later and I'll try to write a bit more. As you know, holidays are here and of course, I do other things, not really taking time to write on my blog.

Anyway, just a little note to tell you that I don't forget you. I'll just have other things in mind.

Like, I'm trying to see a friend since a long time now, but it still the same story and I really tired to run afer this friend. I can't do it anymore or I don't what I'm going to do. Cry? Yielled? Explode?
All possibilites are possible. I'ts always the same things, this friend wants to see me, ok...but when this friend doesn't show up because this friend forget, or simply cancelled everytime (almost), or she doesn't tell you, she either doesn't have some credit or doesn' t pick up the phone and you finished up all the time on her voice mail. What do you think I can feel? What do you think my other friend can feel when we always try to reach this friend but it's impossible and doesn't call us back or anything...? When you always pass your time to think about it and can't sleep at night wondering whether you're really going to see her and when? Seriously?

But I know sometimes this friend has some justified excuse, I don't put them in cause at all, It just add to the number of times, where we or I don't see this friend...it makes me sad and angry at both times...it's so frustating a the time! You try to understand and step aside (prendre du recul), but sometimes you just can't, because there is so many time where you simply don't this friend. And I still don't know what to do...and does this friend has a mode d'emploi? Maybe it would help us and me to understand better how she works...or at least something...

Enough talking about that, let's try to relax and think about something happier and have some good holidays! :)

Versailles!

Dear readers,

I'm back!

Just a quick note to tell you that I made it and after a few hours and a lot of patience, I was in France, slowly realizing that I was actually here and could understand perfectly what people were saying around me! :)

And of course, I'm could see my family again with a lot of happiness after my last passage in France in March/April. I still can't believe it! It's crazy, it's like I only left yesterday...:) (smile)
Now I lok foward to see more of of my family and my friends of course! ;)

Last times in Oxford

Dear readers,

First, hope you're all ok and that next year, you will go wherever you want to go!
Then, I apologize for not having written sooner but as you may already know, this past few weeks were quite busy and I had (and still) quite a lot in my mind. Plus, the inspiration wasn't really there and I wouldn' t write something to write something...that wouldn't be fair...anyway..here I am, now! (smile) :)

So, so...would you ask me? That's a good question! (smile) :)

Last exams, last essay gave back...last days at the college...last times in Oxford, a beautiful human size city, even if you do the tour quickly, it has its charm! (smile)! :) and quite a lot of "last" something...before as you know, the departure from my dearest country: France!
Last walk around Oxford, last cup of tea, last everything in a way before going back.
So many souvenirs and some good experiences to have the chance to come to Oxford. I wouldn't have believe it in the first place, I did so many good things and I would remember it during a long time and hopefully forever, maybe...:)
Last everything again and in a way, I'm glad to go home but will be also a bit nostalgic...:
Like for example going to Starbuck coffee, or Caffé Nero, or Prêt à Manger, ordering some coffee (Cappucino, Mocha, Hot chocolate: cream on the top?, stay here or take away?

Or buying some dvd at HMV (Fnac equivalent but a bit cheaper sometimes and lot of good occasions), or buying some books at Waterstones, feeling this atmosphere, smell the odor of the books...being in this ambiance..I just love it! with a lot of offers: 3 for 2, or save £3, 4 or 5! or Half price offers...:) which give you envy to buy them! ;)
Or again , going to WH Smith for buying some furnitures we need (envelopes, books, pens, pencils, pochette plastique...)
Or going to the cinema and take a ticket for any perfomance, standard or premier?, front or back?, student?....:)
Or just walking around Oxford, enter in a Oxfam shop and making a little B.A to help them in their quest...and see a smile by doing it!
And also wandering around thinking about something or watching discretly other people around you, trying to understand what they or guess what language they are talking, where they could come from...etc...
Or going to do some shoppings for food in Sainsbury's or Tesco...and always going out of it, with a lot of bags than you have planned! :) mostly because of the nice offers: 2 for £2.50 or Buy one get one free...(smile) :)
Or just look at the window's shops full of clothes with a lot of colors that you could believe (almost) that you're at looking at a painting! (rire)...:) !
Or just to enjoy the simple details of life around you...the famous: "sorry for the wait" when you're queuing a the till, or "can I help?", or "How are you today?"...it a bit silly but always nice to hear.. when you do some shopping...:) and it has enligthened your day as silly as it sounds! :) (smile discreet)!
Or drinking at home a cup of tea,( when I don't forget it lol) accompagny by a good book in english (yes, still!) in which you can't stop reading...! and sometimes accompagny by some music!

And of course meeting my colloc' with whom I shared a lot this year and it's was really nice to meet her. She brought me a lot and I learn a lot with her compagny...:) I could have the opportunity to (re)discover some new things...!:)
Or talking with my dearest colloc' too, about everything and anything at the time...laughing, remembering some souvenirs or imagine how things could be, talking about our teatchers, about essays, how was our day or about films or books we are reading or read already, sending ourselves some texts or writing little notes (I'll miss that ;) ) with the famous "Hi dear" or "My dear"!So, if I haven't say it already, just, thank you dear! :) ;)

Also, with my "famous"expressions: "c'est bon le thé", "c'est bon...", or other things that I was often repeating! Fortunately for her,I reassure you, , she is still alive and survived during all those months (november to June/July) we lived together and now as she going back to France for summer and her studies, and as I'll go to France as well for summer and after going back here , in England, in September (finger-crossed), I'll certainly miss her but hopefully we'll find one day , the time to see each other again! I'm looking foward to our new adventures, either if she comes around and visits me in England, where I'll be or either if we'll see each other in France! :)
And before forgetting, I really like meeting my coloc' and I had the oppourtunity to meet some really nice people in the ISP programm who I'll miss too, people who seems to care about you, who wants to know you better and you know they are good people and would like to stay in touch and maybe see other as well later, one day for a different occasion. :) (smile discreet!)

So many souvenirs encrés in my head and I had some good times in Oxford this year and I couldn't imagine going there and do all the things I did if someone would have told me...

I'm going to leave you know as I have things to do (like my suitcases!) but I'll be back! I don't know when but I'll try during the summer to post a little note or otherwise to tell you where I'm going next year! :)

Dear readers,

Just a little note, the "to-do list" begins to reduce itself with a bit patience and time...and I'm glad!
But some stressed is still here between IELTS and to have Merit in Literature...and my head is very active with all that! :)

And again, the impatience...the impatience to be in France, to see my family, to see my friends...just to be there with them...and to think of nothing else! ;)
My patience, I feel it, begins to decrease and the time...pass slowly...! But we are never happy, as it seems.
Sometimes, when the time is flying away when we don't really want and when we want it to fly away...it doesn't...illlogic? Maybe...:)

And well, the weather? I won't annoy you with that, always changing, rain which make us believe we are in autumn not in summer and sometimes, fortunately, sun! :) Sun qui caresse notre visage et réchauffe nos coeurs, nous rassurant and make us believe that the summer isn't so far...:)

See you soon, I hope, for a new episode hopefully to tell you that this time, my "to do list" will be finished and that I will begin to do my luggages! :) (J-15)!!

Universities

Dear readers,

I let you, lately, with my last adventures in Yorkshire&Scotland, I hope you liked it! :)

Just a little note today. As you may know for next year, I applied in University here, in England. Three offers were made to me and in the end I kept only two. Winchester University and Chichester University. There are both in the South of England.

The first one, has asked me to pass the course and to pass the IELTS 6.0 (it's like the TOEFL). So, I decided that it would be my insurance choice. Second choice, if you prefer. And I will pass the IELTS exam the 26th of June just before my last exams!

The second one has asked me to pass the course as well and yet to have in Literature: merit! It would be my firm choice, my first choice. Not too difficult but I'm a bit worried. Sally, my tutor and literature teatcher as well, talked to me and say that my work as really improved and I'm glad to hear which comfirm that my efforts and my colloc's help as well as Sally's have paid with patience & time. But it's not the thing that concerned me. I'm glad that again my work has improved but...I still need to be able to do something else which is a criteria to have Merit in Literature. I'm coming to it, don't worry. :)
So, I have to be able to make in my essays some paragraphs, which mean if I understood well, regroup my idea more clearly...is it comprehensible?
And as she gave me back one of the 3 assignments I did a few month ago, she advised me to look at it again, and change a few things in it...
Yes, but will I be able to? Will I have merit? Will I success with the IELTS ? So many questions....! Mm...

I will try to do it but I have also some essays in C&S, European Studies, and one last in Literature! And I'm a bit worried, there only less than 3 weeks to go now before my last exams and before going back to France, home! for the summer...!
And yet, so many things to do, fortunately not impossible to do! ;)
Well, let's see if I can do everything in time ! :)
I will let you know what happened next..! Finger-crossed! ;) :)

Yorkshire&Scotland - Part 2

Dear readers,

I let you when we were in Haworth, Yorshire...I found you now in Glasgow, Scotland after a few hours train! :)
So, Glasgow!? Where to begin? ;)
First, we arrived and went to the Youth Hostel where we had reserved for 3 nigths! Quoique un peu "rustique", cela fit l'affaire!
Next day, we discovered the city..not really what I was expected, I was surprised! It's a version of San Fransisco, version Scotland! With big avenues a n'en plus finir, big buildings, some in construction, some quite new, some old...and less green, but still!

The Mitchell Library & in the street of Glasgow


We went to visit the Glasgow Cathedral, quite old outside, but beautiful inside! :)
After, we went to a museum: The People's Palace and Winter Garden museum and a after a coffee-break, we discovered a museum full of the story of Glasgow, mostly during the war!Quite interesting! :)
Then we went to another museum: Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. But before, stop for lucn in a nice scottish pub with some nice traditional scottish music, transporting us...:)
Back to the museum! The Kelvingrove is a nice museum full , this time, of different art: Italian, Dutch and French (paintings mostly) and many others things representing the art&culture in Glasgow, its history...:)
Stop, to relax and enjoy the sun (yes!) in the park, near. Great and just...well...nice! (rire) just what we needed! :)
Next and last day before going back to Oxford: A guide tour organized. Our guide was named Charlie, was nice and had a lot of story and anecdotes to tell us, even if we didn't understand everything! (lol) .
Highlands and Loch tour with some break to take pictures or lunch or to buy some souvenirs! :)
More precisely, a little aperçu of what we did this day, which was again under the sun! :)
We begin by going to the Loch Lomond National Park, in Crianlarich; then after a coffee fo waking-us up direction Rannoch Manor, Glencoe.
Then: Highlands: Fort William, Ben Nevis. We stop there for lunch and buy some souvenirs.
After that, direction Dromnadrochit, for visiting the famous Loch Ness! We even take a cruise on it and could much admire the view and some other monument as the Urquhart Castle (beautiful!)
Sorry, we didn't see Nessie! (rire), maybe she was hidding (rire)*** !!!
We continue to hit the road towards Inverness and last stop in Perthshire, for an early dinner(17h30!) before going to Glasgow, after a great day and my head already full of souvenirs as well! :)

Yorkshire&Scotland- Part 1

How are in this new month? Ah y est! June...crazy isn't it? :)

Me revoilà revenue avec ma fidèle colloc', d'une petite semaine de vacances bien méritées! Nous en avions besoin, après ces semaines de cours, de recharger les batteries. :)

Well, what did we do? What would you say, we did? No...no bronzage in the sun, nor laziness on the beach...! (rire), that we would have been good but no...that wasn't the case! *smile*
So? Have you guessed? ;)

The answer is...(I mean, it's a bit stupid...now that I realize it, sorry^^) we went in the North of England! Quite a long way but it was worth(?) it..seriously!***
We went, more precisely, in the Yorkshire, in the moors (landes), in the village of Haworth! You don't know? let me refresh your memory *smile*
This little village, lost in the middle of nowhere, is well-known and famous for Brontë's sisters! They have written most of their novel as you may know, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë (or Shirley, Villette...), Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, Anne Brontë has also written The Tenant of Wildell Fall and others! I just read and see two versions of Jane Eyre, and two of Wuthering Heights, but it really worth reading them according to my roomate! :) So, n'avez plus qu'a!:)
Anyway, we arrived there in a charming village, with character and passion...with mountains and nature all around, just beautiful and breathtaking view! You just have to see it! So...:) I can't find a word...
We made a reservation in a sweet and typical inn called the "Old Silent Inn"! English jusqu'au bout des ongles, cosy and warm...lost outside the city centre, you can just hear the noise of the bird, the wind...so nice!
Then, after we let our luggages, we went to the city centre and visit of course the Brontë Parsonage Museum dedicate as you can guess to the Brontë's. It's actually the house they lived in. Cela retrace leur vie, leur quotidien, leurs oeuvres...que vous pouvez au fur et à mesure de la visite suivre et vous imaginez quel était leur vie au 19e siècle. It was nice, but for me as I discover, I can see my rommate's eyes all bright and open, qui pétillent de bonheur et un sourire apparaître...:)
En effet, Jane Eyre , Wuthering Heights et tant d'autres ont bercé son enfance! ;)
Puis, petit tour au musée et après quelques achats raisonnables (cartes postales...), nous découvrons la Church, qui se trouve à côté, where the Brontë family have a vault. :)
Et une marche dans Haworth, essayant de s'imaginer les 3 soeurs, aller et venir dans le village. Nous avons par la même occasion, mangé une "curd tart", spécialité du coin, très bon! ;)
Puis retour à l'hôtel, pour se détendre et se reposer avant de dîner à la inn au coin du feu et dans une ambiance chaleureuse.
Le lendemain, après une nuit plus au moins répatrice, ma colloc' et moi, partons pour une marche dans les moors. Nous nous rendons, appareil photo en main, dans un endroit nommé Top Withins, connu pour avoir inspiré Emily Brontë pour son roman Wuthering Heigths! :) Tout aussi magnifique et breathtaking, plongé au milieu de ces famous moors et sa brume donnant, avec la pluie (!) un aspect sauvage, passionné et gloomy à la fois. Vous avez encore du mal à réaliser que vous êtes là...un peu comme dans un rêve ou presque! :) L'appareil photo à bien fonctionné! ;)
Puis, nous redescendons et passons devant les famous Brontë's falls, connu pour son pont, près d'où Charlotte Brontë had her favourite spot and liked to sit. :) ;)
Dernier tour dans Haworth et arrêt dans un charmant café called Emma's café ou nous mangerons des Scones (Hum...Miam!) accompagné d'un thé bien chaud pour se réchauffer et se remettre de nos émotions! :)
Marche jusqu'a la Inn afin de reprendre nos valises et direction Keighley afin de prendre le train pour...Glasgow! Scotland nous voilà! :) Après une petite heure d'attente et de patience accompagné d'un bon livre, le train arrive! Changement à Lancaster, et comme celui-ci avait un peu de retard, cela nous a permis de prendre quelque chose de chaud!
Finalement, nous voilà arrivé à Glasgow deux heures plus tard, plutôt surprise par la ville!
Mais suite dans un prochain billet ou cela risque faire long...:) Je vous laisse découvrir et imaginer par vous-même ce que cela pouvait être! ;) :)

Dear readers,

J'espère que vous allez bien et que en cette période d'examens, vous tenez le coup!

D'habitude, I can sleep quite well but apparently my brain has many tricks in its bag and in this evening, I can't sleep! So, annoying! Well, we all know that...and there isn't so many things to do in this case, just try to relaxe and not thinking to much...(rire) and just wait with a bit of patience..! :-)

Anyway, the brain will be a mystery to me! *smile* ;-) hope I'll be able to sleep! And yet, I try to watch the end of ...Pride&Prejudice (american version) Eh oui, je sais ce que vous allez dire but..chut!^^ my computer seems lazy....(vive la technologie^^).

Allez, je vais vous laisser, juste un court billet. J'essaierai d'en écricre un plus long ou d'être plus régulière seulement comme j'ai dû me répéter ou vous le mentionner plusieurs fois, en cette dernière ligne droite avant les vacances d'étés, je suis assez busy...! So many things to do and think at the same time!

Sorry to keep you waiting, I know that I'm not really here those days but I'm kind of busy and a lot to think...

So, just a little note. I'll catch up as soon as I can! :-)

Ah y est! We are in May, a new month! :) And J'ai soufflé mes 23 bougies (c'est fou comme le temps passe vite!:) Un moment passé trés agréable passé en la compagnie de ma fidèle colloc'! Thanks again Dear! ;-)

Then, May...a new month, a new proverb: "En mai, fais ce qu'il te plaît"!? Ben oui, un peu ironique non? Car...le soleil se fait désirer (même si quand même il apparaît discrètement à quelques occasions...! Heureusement! Sentir le soleil nous caresser le visage, nous réchauffer le cœur, nous dire qu'il ne nous oublie pas au milieu de toutes cette grisaille printanière, on se croirait au début de l'Automne (smile) :) Mais ne nous désespérons pas, je crois que le soleil doit avoir plus d'un tour dans son sac! :-) Et devrait revenir plus souvent et dés qu'il le pourra! :-)

In the middle of all that, there is me and my moral which really like to play montagnes russes with me...sometimes I'm ok, sometimes I'm not...it's tiring...but what can I do? So much to do and think...my head has those thoughts....which come back often...I don't know how I do it every day...*smile discreet*
Mes forces sont à rudes épreuves...ma petite famille me manque...mes ami(e)s aussi...je sais qu'ils seront toujours là et qu'ils ne sont jamais très loin...seulement par moment j'ai juste envie de les voir, d'entendre leur voix, rire avec eux...bref tout ces petits riens qui m'aide à tenir...! :-)

Allez, assez parler de moi...*smile* plus que quelques semaines (less than 2 months) à tenir...j'espère que ça ira mieux d'ici là...;-)
Bon courage pour certains qui se reconnaîtront, pour les examens et autres concours pour entrée dans leur future école de leur choix..je sais combien ça peut être stressant mais croyez-en vous! :) Vous pouvez le faire! :) Et pour finir un big MERDE! (rire)! :)
