First, how are you?
Sorry if I didn't write sooner...I wasn't really inspired. And this week, exam week! :) And after, comes the best....guess what? 3 beautiful weeks of "holidays"! Why? well, first, English student have always, around this time of year and at Easter, some weeks of holidays and secondly, our dear literature teatcher has apparently had a illumination and gave us a few essays to do during those holidays! Isn't that "great"?! (rire)
Well...well...what else?
Yes. Last Saturday. This week-end. Where did I went?
I went to Winchester (under the rain) with, as always, my fidèle roomate! A city located near Bath (I love that city) and situated in the South. We took the train after 20/30 min of delay. Patience et nous y voilà! One hour later....
A city with great character and charm. The city is well-known entre autre for its beautiful Cathedral where our dear friend and writer Jane Austen is barried (enterrée). My dear roomate could saw it and apparently, it worth to see it. Why then coudn't see it?
For a simple reason! I went principalement to Winchester for going to an open days for a possible and future university!
(rire)
Great place and a lot of students. I learn a few things about the course (Creative Writing) I would like to do next year (what subject I'm going to study) and discover english campus. I could then imagine what It could be if I'll go. That sound nice and interesting. :) *smile*
Then I joinded later, my dear roomate and nous voilà partie à nouveau sur les pas de Jane Austen! Encore me direz-vous? Eh oui! La maison is situated outside of Winchester, in a little and sweet village called Chawton. On comprend mieux maintenant pourquoi, Jane Austen s'y ai retiré! Assez vert.
This time, It was the house where she wrote most of her novels and live the last period of her life. La maison retrace son parcours. On y découvre comment she lived here: her bedroom, where she was writing every day, the living room, the kitchen, the drawing-room...bref, tout cela dans un atmosphère détendu and relaxing.
English did today! let's see how it went, I'll keep you posted! :) ;)
Tomorrow, European Studies and Wednesday, Culture&Society! Then...HOLIDAYS! And I'll get to see my dearest family and friends! *Big Smile* Well, but let's stay concentrate before of course! ;)
Finger crossed! :)
I'll try to come back as soon as possible for a new note. But I'll try at least not to let so much time fly. :)
Take care xxx ;)
